What is user acceptance testing
What is user acceptance test? This is one of the final phases of the software development life cycle. Acceptance tests are carried out after the product is thoroughly checked. The system seems to work fine, but you have to make sure that customers really can navigate it. That is why user acceptance testing is performed by end-users, not by professional testers. Users are given a few tasks to complete. The process is observed by a moderator and then the results are collected and analyzed. Some people tend to underestimate UAT and skip it, thus we should clarify why we need acceptance testing. This technique allows developers to see how usable the system is, what difficulties customers face, and what they like most about the software. Such information helps fix bugs and improve the product before it goes live. UAT is intended to get approval for release in case the system operates properly. Read the full article
