Issue #60 of the “Star Wars Insider” featured an article by Daniel Wallace titled “Who’s Who in Jabba’s Palace,” with accompanying illustrations by Justine Mara Andersen. The article listed the “The Good, The Bad, and The Goofy” and Mara’s caption, read:
Mara Jade is one of the most prominent Expanded Universe creations; in the New Jedi Order era, she’s married to Luke Skywalker. During Return of the Jedi, however, Mara Jade posed as a dancing girl named Arica on a secret mission for The Emperor. Her failure to assassinate Luke inside Jabba’s palace earned her a stern reprimand from her master, who died a few days later aboard the second Death Star. It was years before Luke discovered just how close Mara had some to unraveling his rescue plan.

Tessek was a Quarren who worked as Jabba the Hutt’s accountant on Tatooine. Becoming uncomfortable with Jabba’s criminal activities, Tessek schemed to kill the Hutt and take his wealth for himself. During Luke Skywalker’s brief imprisonment at the hands of the Hutt, Tessek tried to convince Jabba to free him, and assisted the Rebels from the shadows, although only to ensure he received more of Jabba’s wealth. Tessek untrustworthy at best, constantly betraying others for his gain, and extremely nervous.
