Now that I'm thinking of it, Grant, Nick, and Lark each had a specific, identifiable event where their nature was completely changed against their will. The chimera, the trial and becoming a demon, and the Rogue card.
Terry and Sparrow were also changed by the Forgotten Realms but there isn't one identifiable event for either (as far as i can remember) where there is a clear Before/After. No one thing that can be pinned down as The Event that altered the course of their life and their sense of self forever.
