Every rewatch reveals little things previously unnoticed. I just realized that Hickey is wearing Irving's coat during that scene where he's talking to Hodge in the mutiny camp! It was kinda blink and you miss it, I thought I was trippin at first.

silna running off at the end of the ep is so interesting.. i feel she’s simultaneously lost what trust she might have had in crozier and seen that she does need to interfere with how bad the tuunbaq situation has gotten. and on this rewatch i wonder how much of that realization of responsibility follows from seeing crozier shirk his. like part of her read on crozier is genuine rage at the situation he and his have put her in but part of it feels like it must be recognition (“you see what must be done yet you won’t do it” (<not the exact quote but close enough)). ​the moment silna sees these men clearer than ever is the moment she realizes she has to try to save them regardless. and it’s not bc she sees something worth saving it’s because she sees something she doesn’t want to be

fun that hickey is the one opening up the hatch in this episode and the one cutting open the carnivale tent in the next. guy who crosses lines and stands in doorways hits again
