I love elephants! They are so beautiful and majestic! In 2009, I was so excited to do an elephant tour and ride an elephant through the jungles of Thailand. While riding the elephant, I realized that these elephants were not respected and were actually mistreated. I watched as an elephant was getting whipped simply because he stopped to drink water! And at the end of the tour, I saw an elephant with rope tied around its leg, obviously causing the elephant pain and discomfort. That day I promised to love elephants and to be a voice for them. I am posting this painting of a elephant I did in hopes of winning the #TEPart contest.
