Side Characters - Yeku, June, and Tenzu

(This has been in my drafts for a long time and its only now I finished documenting their synopsis). These three are classmates with Gen and Jaley in the highschool they transferred to (of course they all had surnames but of course i forgot all about them already...). They belong in the same section as them as well as Chin, Maria, Saik, and eventually Meiji (more details about them in part three). From L-R we have:

Yeku - The class clown who also eventually joined Gen and June’s circles of friends (plus Tenzu too). He has average grades but his laziness gets in the way of being a well-performing student. He believes that he needs his interest piqued first to any activity he is supposed/ required to do before he can put his mind into it. Also has low attention span. June often keeps him in check and he’s always reprimanded by Chin, the high school’s student president (who he is weirdly amused of and fond of teasing). He also works as a barista in a part time job in one of Chin family’s cafes (which Chin didn’t knew about for the longest time since she isn’t taking over yet the family business).

June - The classroom representative and the first friend Gen made when he entered in the campus, after Gen mistook him for a girl and tried to flirt with him. Apologies were made and they’re good since then. A free-spirited and kind boy, June is also an active member of the school’s art club - wherein he has a huge crush on its club’s president, Maria (who is also the vice pres of the high school student council).  Despite of his friendly and cheerful look, he tries his best to fulfill his role in the confides of their classroom.

Tenzu - A smart, uptight, and pessimistic guy who keeps mumbling a lot of things when he senses things that will probably go wrong, Tenzu is June's right hand guy when it comes to disciplining everyone in class. Although he isn't elected as a class officer, everyone in his class is afraid to mess with him. Probably because the class needs his excellent tutoring skills/ well written and complete notes-- but most of the time they're afraid of hearing cold harsh truth bombs. Hidden secret weakness: he's in love with the classroom weirdo Saik. I often draw him making “moves” toward her and failing fantastically.

Fun Facts!

Gen owns a rabbit named Jogo and often walks like a human when his owner isn’t around

Tenzu’s character design was inspired from a fusion of Fujisaki & Usui’s characters in Sket Dance

Thinking about it now, I’m pretty sure Yeku has ADHD

June’s character was inspired from Yukimura of Maid Sama, because I admired his character’s dedication and hardwork in the student council

Its the first comic idea that I enjoyed using a character that can break the fourth wall (and that character will be introduced in the next part!)
