Being kidnapped by you? Sounds like a kinky Christmas!

I received assignments from the following students and these are the responses that are written on your paper for only you to see.

I would like to thank each of you for completing the assignment and I found that each of you had a strong grasp on what was covered. 

Note:  Two of you slipped the assignment under my door days after it was due hoping I wouldn’t notice since I was away from Hogwarts... but I did. You are aware of who you are and just know that I will let it slide this time but there are due dates for a reason. If you need an extension, you should ask for one.

Shawn Spencer-After reading over your assignment, you made it seem as though you were afraid of losing your hair and becoming bald like your father. The numerous mentions of said man made me question the real meaning of your response... however only you know your deepest fear. Also, there are potions to counter that, if it’s a fear, you might wish to speak to Professor Crowley. As for your suggestion of topic, you would seem to need a potion to cheer up the gentleman whose name rhymes with “Larton Cassiter”. You may wish to ask Professor Crowley about that as well; he might make it an assignment if he finds it interesting enough. 

Leopald Fitz- A near drowning experience can certainly set a fear in you that is difficult to overcome. Since a Boggart is created from the emotion of fear itself, it may take the form of a pool, a bottomless puddle, or even a sea creature as you suggested. I’m not telling you this to enhance your fear, only to make you aware in case you encounter one. What programs would you put on the telly you change a Boggart into? Make sure you have every part of your spell planned out so you’re not rushing to think of one in the heat of the moment. 

Jemma Simmons-  Yes, you are correct. Guess work can be inaccurate however the method of fighting your Boggart, regardless of your fear, is important knowledge. The basic goal of this exercise is to get you to the point of using Riddikulus without hesitation. Reading a book would not help you for facing one in the real world and I want to make sure you’re prepared for anything. Now it appears, from what you’ve told me, that your family will love you regardless and I hope you remember that. Also the staff here want you to succeed. If you ever have an issue, we’ll listen to you and help you the best we can so that hopefully your fear of failure or expulsion isn’t one that comes true.

Clint Barton- A traumatic experience, such as losing your parents at a young age, losing your brother to a violent fight, and your mentor’s betrayal  makes it understandable that you have trepidation about letting someone close to you. You seem to have a solid method in dealing with your fears and I believe keeping her in your thoughts will help you through the difficult times when your fear overwhelms you.

Remy LeBeau- That... that’s not how it would work... Your answers, while detailed, are a bit concerning. I will speak to you after class about them.

Owen Harper- Being invisible or forgotten completely is a terrifying thought. We all wish to leave an imprint on the world in hopes of showing we had purpose or that we meant something. Your way of repelling it, though not explained, hopefully works though I note that it must be a pleasant memory and it sounds as though the circumstance with her didn’t end well. I do apologize for the pain the topic caused you but Boggarts are common creatures and I would rather expose you to you fear than leave you helpless to a horrid fate.

S’Chn T’Gai Spock- Seeing a loved one, especially ones own mother, injured is a terrifying experience and one I hope you never have to face in reality. Seeing as it is so traumatic, I hope you practice  Riddikulus until it becomes an automatic reaction. Emotions can be unpredictable when faced with those types of situation and you need to be ready for anything. The memory of her smile should certainly help you in that regard.

Carlton Lassiter- A Gryffindor can certainly be fearful of something; they are just more likely to push past faster than other houses as they’re more likely to face it head on without weighing the consequences. Please understand that I am not saying this to push your fear onto you; it’s not meant to embarrass you. I just do not want you to believe you may be immune in any way due to your house placement.  Your fear is one many students and even adults would relate to. The idea of being ridiculed or humiliated can cause intense emotions in people and I hope your method of using Riddikulus is one that you can draw from automatically instead of freezing up when faced with your Boggart. 

Ten- I’m not clear on if you’re allergic to a pear or if you just had a traumatic experience with the fruit. Regardless using  Riddikulus to transform it into a different fruit that you enjoy is an ideal plan.If you are allergic to it, there might be a potion or spell to assist you in overcoming it, I would suggest visiting the Med-Witch.

Natasha- As we are currently discussing it and I’m working with you, I’ll consider it as your response to the homework.

Today they would be studying red kaps and hinky punks. Last week it had been grindylows which were such ugly creatures with all their pointed teeth. Molly hoped she wouldn’t have to face one anytime soon.
