Initially, I was concerned that this year's summer event might not feel as special and magical as the previous years' as it doesn't take place on a magical fairytale island far, far away. I was a little bit disappointed about not getting a sneak peek into the new upcoming region as well. Now that I've finished playing the Sunspray Summer Resort event, I'd rate it perfect and 10/10, though! I loved it! The story, the character dynamics, the mini games, the rewards, the fact that they made the map permanent, and gave us a lot more time to explore it, etc.! I'm glad they created a resort area and storyline and an event surrounding it in Natlan! And it's permanent! I've been thinking how if they didn't do it, it'd be a wasted opportunity since the release of Natlan! I love that there will always be a little corner with eternal summer holiday vibes to go back to any time of the year! For once, saying goodbye to the summer event didn't feel sad! I had a lot of fun playing through it! The way the story was told was perfect - the perfect length, no filler, the fun mini games within the story, the mix of a chill summer vacation and heavy sad lore, yet how the latter wasn't foreshadowed and teased too heavily too early on, etc.! I love that after all these years, we finally learnt about Bennett's backstory, and he got some love and appreciation! The amount of time, energy, and effort the mini games took corresponded perfectly to the rewards we got for them! Although I finished the story and mini games, I still have the whole area to explore and a lot of pictures to take! This time, I finally actually finished playing the event before the very last minute, aka one day before it ended. The only reason I managed to do it, though, was because the location and exploration are permanent, and I only had to play the story and mini games.
