Chapter twenty: ONE LAST KISS

FINALE

I walk around the lively town, with Lanino and Elnina giving me a kinda tour, since they just got here, ecc...

I'm so happy to have them alive, so see them so happy, unlike the last time I saw Tenna, that was just white noise. I let out a breath. I need to apologize to him.

I want to apologize to him.

There is no need, after all, it wasn't my fault, but in my chest, I feel bad about something, even if I don't know what, and maybe apologizing is better than feeling what I'm feeling right now.

I walk in a cookie shop with the meteo couple, and i see Spamton taking a cookie from a serpent with harmer looking shape head, he started eating it till he didnt say me 《0H! L0ok wh0's h3re, you 0k¿ [WORRY FOR ONLY 7$!]》he asked, looking right at me, i nod at the tiny creature, and he looks relaxed, as he walks away, he's such a weird guy.

I buy from Lancer a overpriced cookie of the shape of his head, atleast it tastes good, i still glance at the castle in the distance, I hope he is doing ok, I wanted to walk there but both Lanino and Elnina grabed my shoulder, shaking their head, meaning 'not yet', I let out a exasperated sigh, i guess I will talk to him when he feels ready.

We wander around the town, looking at all the shops and houses of everyone that Kris spared; it's really a nice view. I see Elnina's clock start ringing. I see the two of them looking at it and start writing something on it. They stare at each other and then nod at me. Does it mean what I think?

I walk towards the castle, it looks bigger from the inside, intimidating, dark, with walks and stairs, it doesn't look like somewhere that Ralsei would leave, but maybe I just don't know him well enough to say that.

Ralsei comes running from the upper floor, sprinting towarts the exit 《I need to go save Kris and Susie, they are stuck in a dark fountain, Tenna want to talk to you, there is cake in the pot, see you later bye》said before closing the door after him, wow, those were...tons of informations, cake, maybe I can bring him a cake, i walk towarts the pot and take out a wonderfull decorated cake with Tenna color palette, Ralsei probably made it just so I could apoligize, he's so nice

I walk towarts the upper floor since that is where Ralsei come out running from, I see different doors, probably for all that live here, a blue door (probably Kris), a pink door (probably Susie), a ♤ door (Lancer), another blue one but lighter, and the red one, Tenna's i want to knock on the door, but the cake is too big with the need to be held with both of my hands.

I knock with my foot on the door and wait for a minute, and then Tenna opens the door, with his new arms, he looks at me and then looks down at the cake I'm carrying, taking it from my hands to help me with the weight, letting me come inside.

His room is like i imaginated, but looks lived in even if it's somewhat small, the messy blankets, the desk full of junk and way too many cups of coffee, he puts the cake on the only side of the desk that has nothing on it and then sits on the bed, petting the spot next to him, and I follow after him, and sit where he said, no one says anything for a while, but then.

《 I'm sorry》

We both said it at the same time, like I was ment to be, i look at him and he looks at me 《can i start?》he asked, I nodded ready to listen him talking 《i wasn't good at you, I know that, so I don't expect your forgiveness, I was worried, i lost my best friend, I was worried about losing my whole career too, and I tought if I kept Kris maybe I could have convinced them to...not trow me away, and you, heh, i didn't see you coming, I tought that if you were there maybe Kris would have been more troubled to leave, and, I dont know, but you were being...nice, I didn't see that coming, so I reacted like you were my old pal, and you didn't deserve that, I understood later, when I saw the sword covered in your blood I realized, I'm sorry about everything》

I nod at his words, and take his hand, that was gripping the sheets of the bed and make him look at me 《look, its ok, I mean not really, but we can find a way to solve this, we really can, no one will replace you, you're here now》I tell him, getting closer to him, almost pressing with his body with mine, he looks at me, and then gets closer to me.

《Well, is there anything I can do to deserve your forgiveness》he asks, half jokingly and half seriously. I grab his tie to pull him closer to me. 《Well, you could kiss me as a starter》I tell him, giggling, but he takes it seriously, putting his gloved hand on my cheek, putting his screen in my face.

The kiss feels...electric, a soft zap on my lips. It feels nice, not hard, not forced, just a soft feeling, his hand going on my waist, holding me closer to him.

The kiss doesn't last long, but it feels just right. We pull away from the kiss and just stare at each other. I smile at him, and he smiles back at me, still holding my waist. I looked over at the cake I brought him, and Spamton was eating a piece of it.

《I love you》said Tenna, getting me closer to him. 《I'm sorry for everything》he quickly added, 《 it's ok, I love you too》I tell him, putting a hand on the side of his screen 《 Wow, you y0u'r3 p4thet1c. I'm gonna [throw up for only 3.99$]》Spamton said, still holding the half-eaten piece of cake.

《You...come here, I'm gonna kill you myself! Stop ruining my romantic life!》said Tenna, standing up and walking toward the tiny creature, who rolled his eyes, starting to run away, with the whole cake, dropping the piece of cake on the floor just to grab the whole thing.

《Come back here!》said Tenna, sprinting toward the little creature. Everything feels so normal...

Chapter nineteen: CASTLE TOWN

I wake up on Kris's couch, coughing violently, my throat is sore, and in much pain. There is no one near me. Where are Kris and Susie?-

The coughing continues, making my body shiver violently, the amount of pain I'm feeling right now is unbelievable, I try standing up, but my body feels too weak, so I just lie down, taking all the couch...

Is Toriel ok? Are Kris and Susie ok?

Is Tenna ok?

I ask myself, looking at the turned off TV, I try to turn it on, but remote control wasn't working, I check the battery, and yep, they are dead, like I was, and like how Tenna probably still is.

I close my eyes; the front door is wide open, so this chill breeze is coming in, giving a cold, unpleasant feeling.

In the TV world looked like it was weeks, but here? Three hours max, the old clock showed the time, and it is 3 am, I feel like my body is melting, is too tired and in too much pain to do anything else, I feel the sleep coming inside me, i check my hands, normal, my back, there wasnt anything anymore, my clothes, the pj i stole from Kris.

And my throat, no hole, no blood, like it never happened, but I know it happened, I saw the Knight stab me.

I fell asleep, too tired to think about anything or feel anything.

I can feel the front door close, and a voice that I recognized as Susie's talking to Kris, I can't feel anything; I can't even move.

[The next morning]

I slowly open my eyes, and Susie is standing right in front of me. 《Are you feeling better?》 Susie asks me, I shake my head, thinking back at everything, my death, Tenna's death, and I don't even know what happened to the others, or if Toriel is even doing ok-

Toriel walks in the living room, holding a plate of pancakes 《breakfast is ready!》she said cheerfully, walking back in the kitchen, I look at Susie as she watches the ground 《it took Undyne》she said, the Knight took Undyne?, sit up on the couch, covering my eyes for the light coming through the windows, Susie help me stand up and going in the kitchen.

We sit down at the table, hot pancakes standing infront of us, each decored with our likes, miss Toriel sits down infront of me, and Susie is next to me, and Kris sits down between Susie and Toriel, we all start eating in silence 《you know, i had such a silly dream this night, I was a queen that left my kingdom to protect a child, heh, is was so interesting》she started describing her dream as we eat, good thing that she dosnt remember what happed.

I look back, at the now dead tv, Susie takes my hand from under the table, I feel me eyes filling up with water, but I refuse to let them fall, Toriel stands up and picks up the empty plates, continuing to talk about her dream 《Kris, get ready we are going to church, do you two want to join us?》I shake my head. Susie was about to decline, but I add 《I can't, I wish I could go and support Noelle》Susie looks at me; she clearly didn't know that Noelle sang at the church. Her cheeks became a slightly darker color 《i guess I can come. 》

Toriel gives us a warm smile and then continues talking 《in about an hour we have to be there, Kris, can you trow away the tv or give it to your father, the cables broke and i cant seem to fix it, it's an old tv anyway, after Dess we haven't watched it in so long》Kris nods and picks up the tv, Susie and me following after them, Kris grabs some keys from the counter and walks out, towarts the school 《Hey we're are we going?》I ask them, both Susie and Kris smile at me 《you'll see》 Susie said walking a bit faster.

As we stand infront of the school Kris opens the door with something I reconize as his mother keys, they open the door and walk in the school, I follow after them, closing the door behind me, Susie and Kris walk towarts the broom closet, opening the door, the room becomes cold and Kris trows the tv in the closet and jumps in Susie grabbing my arm and dragging me inside.

I fall face-first on the ground, I look up, and I see Ralsei waving at us, 《welcome back》he said, helping me stand up. 《What is this place?》I ask, looking at Kris and Susie 《we found it a bit ago, cool huh?》she said proudly, I nod, walking towarts the light, many houses, many shops, a castle, people waving at us, the little Lancer boy jumping up and down seeing Susie 《this is Castle town, hope you like it》Ralsei said, smiling, I smile at him back, I see Elnina and Lanino waving at me, so I walk towarts them.

《Hi! How are you doing?》Elnina asks as I go and hug her 《 I'm ok...》Elnina shakes her head 《no, we know you are not. Look, we are going to fix up Tenna, but you two need to talk. After all, you died. Don't worry, everything will go fine》I look back at Kris, who was already watching me, giving me a sympathetic look.

《Kris said that we have to go to the church, see you later》Said Susie. Kris is behind her, nodding, waving. I waved at them back, watching them walk off.

Chapter eighteen: BLOOD

Gliches, the number of his screen rising, throwing one attack after the other, Kris kept clenching their chest, where their soul was supposed to be; they are having problems breathing, their face covered in sweat, caused by all those movements.

Tenna stops attacking, seeing Kris condission, he takes a step closer, but Susie defends Kris, sheltering them with her axe. Tenna sensing aggression steps back, standing next to Toriel. I bang on the plastic ball, but he is totally ignoring me.

This time, just Susie and Ralsei spit out the words. Kris looks like they are about to throw up, 《Kris?!》 I scream, banging on the plastic. Tenna stares at me in shock, not moving, not attacking, just observing. Susie is shielding Kris, Ralsei is casting a spell to heal them, and Tenna is watching Toriel and me

《If I let you go, will I die? Will my world close and kill anyone inside it?》asked Tenna, staring back at Kris, Susie and Ralsei 《of course you won't die! I would never let you die》i scream at him. His screen flashes a pink color, and for just a second, it becomes yellow, but the moment I blink, it goes back to pink. He lets out a sigh and breaks my plastic prison, setting me free.

Tenna let me free...

I smile at him, and run up to me hugging the tall man, him hugging me back, i let go of the hug and run up to my friends giving them all a big warm hug in this cold place, i start crying seeing Kris condicion, it looks like its getting worst, i grab their shoulder and they hug me tight, i let out a soffocated giggle, and i turn back to look at Tenna, he was smiling at m-

CRASH

His arms were cut off.

The black oil covering the snow.

His screen is showing no reaction.

First falling on his knees and then face-first.

《Tenna!》i run up to him, falling in the proces scraping my knees on the snow, i put my hand on the side of his screen, that was only playing white noises, the static sound was terrifing me, i tried to shake him awake, but nothing, he dosnt react, i shake him harder, but still nothing, i cry, i just told him.

I just told him i would never let him die, but yet i failed, i put my head on his chest and let out a scream, Kris and the others run up towarts us, but sudently stop on their tracks, i look behind me, and i see it, a knight...the knight, their presence is terrifing me, my body feels colder than what it was.

I stare at it, and it stares back at me.

And then...

STAB

I blade goes thro my throat, passing one side to the other, i cough out blood, the blade going deeper in the insides of my throat and then pulling the blade out, leaving a hole in my trachea, i trow up blood, with the now the impossibility of breathing, i hear sounds all around me, but all i can now worry about is the abount of blood and oil lying on the snow, i try standing up, failing and falling back again.

Pain in all my body, my lungs filling up with blood, I can't feel anything anymore, just a numb feeling, I close my eyes for a second, then two, then three, till I stop counting.

I open my eyes, in front of me is lying the unconscious Tenna. I drag my weak body toward him, feeling a rush of pain with every movement I make, I don't even feel the cold on my skin. I just need to reach him...

The others, the others are fighting so much, and I can't even protect him. I cry harder, getting closer and closer to him, maybe I still can, but my body gives up, too beaten up and hurt to continue moving. I just have to wait...

No, I can't wait, I need to tell him, I need to know, I open my mouth but words don't come out, just blood. My hands are shaking, my eyelids feel heavier, and yet, I can't give up, I need to stay determined, to live for him.

I can do it, I can...

I feel sounds, i try looking up, but what i see leaves a sense of fear in me, all of them, Ralsei, Susie and even Kris are knocked out by the Knight, that was holding Kris face showing me a new wound on their face, i want to drag my body, but i cant, everything, im in so much pain, i should have already died, i look up and the Knight is standing over me, swords in hand, one of them stabbing me in my shoulder, not leaving a chamce for moviment.

The other one was millimeters from stabbing me in the throat again, even if I wanted to move now, the pain was unbearable, my shoulder was completely stuck with the blade and the ground. And my neck was spilling an abnormal amount of blood. I shut my eyes for what I knew was coming.

CHAPTER SEVENTEEN: SNOW

I watch Kris killing all our friends, Susie, Ralsei, me, and some random glitched monsters. Why, why would the original version of Tennas' videogame represent that?

I'm gonna feel sick, but we finally did it. Kris just defeated the final boss that gave us a key, but Kris's mini character couldn't reach the chest

《What do we do now?》i ask Kris, turning my head to watch them, I see Kris' face become a lighter blue as they stare behind me, what?

I turn around, and Kris' minifigure has its sword raised, as if trying to stab me. Kris grabs my arm and drags me away from the little creature, and then it starts walking towards us, sword in hand. Its bangs lift a little, and I could see faint yellow and pink eyes instead of their actual crimson ones.

Seeing us backing away from it, it stopped and just stared at us, Kris putting a hand in front of me, trying to shelter me, but then, it backed up and walked off, leaving Kris frightened.

《Do you think Tenna organized at?》asked Kris, looking at me, I shook my head no, Tenna would never hurt Kris...or me I hope I let out a tired sigh as Kris took the thing from the chest. It was a mantle, it was very shadowy tho.

We walk out of the "S-rank" room, seeing Susie talking with Ralsei about her missing Noele, and hoping she is doing all right. I raise my eyebrow. Is Susie in love with Noele?

Does it mean Noele loves Towarts, and Susie reciprocates?

I look at Kris, who gives me a knowing smile. I smile back at them, Susie and Ralsei see us, and Ralsei runs up to us, checking if everything is ok and if he should heal us. I shake my head and try to reassure him that we are ok.

He nods and walks us towards the door.

The door that, since the first moment I got here, was locked with police tape, we walk in, the metal floor echoing beneath us, a TV screen showing a puzzle the others already solved, an open door waiting for us.

And then...

Snow.

It was snowing, the plants were all dead, the grass covered in a thick pile of snow, it felt somewhat nostalgic, it wasn't cold, or at least not too much, it was just a bone-chilling feeling washing over us.

In the distance, I see something, something that looks like a Christmas tree. We walk closer, and we see her...Toriel, on top of the Christmas tree, I try to shake it to make her fall, but nothing happens.

Kris and Susie were screaming her name, but she was not reacting as if she was asleep, or worse.

Some heavy footsteps could be heard from behind us. We turned around and saw Tenna staring at us, in what looked like disgust toward Susie, Kris and Ralsei, but toward me, he was looking at me differently, disappointed? Hatred? The same feeling I'm feeling in my chest right now?

Some colored balls close us up, locking us, but unlike the others that had white and red, mine was white and gold. Susie was trying to break the ball by smashing her axe on it, without success.

《 Let's see, to win, you have to say...'I love TV time 100 times', and then, we go back in the studio and make a new episode》said Tenna 《why is my ball white and gold?》i ask him, banging on the almost transparent walls, he walks up to me and lowers his body to face me, 《because I prefer you over the others》said Tenna, giving me a wide smile, showing off his fangs, and then his screen glitched, becoming a weird shade of red 《i mean, of course that isn't the reason! Is just that a small white dog ate the cables of the machine, and I had to take one of the not-used ones!》said Tenna, justifying himself by waving his hand in front of my face.

Said the trio at Tennas back, his faceplate gliched for a second, showing a 3/100.

I guess that means he is actually keeping count. He turns around to stare at them, but Susie's ball broke after a last swing of an axe, flying pieces of hard plastic going anywhere. Tenna throws his first attack, but Susie manages to dodge, swinging the axe at Kris's ball, breaking it in two.

Screamed again the three, as Tenna screen glitched once again '6/100', it's still too low, Tenna sent another attack, but it didn't matter, because the two of them managed to finally free Ralsei, by using both of their weapons.

《Tenna let me out!》 I say to him, trying to convince him, shakes his head 《No, NO! If they leave, if you leave, what will happen to me?! I will be forgotten once again, i cant have that, not fron you》i shake my head in disappointment, clearly he wont listen to me, not in the ball 《what does Toriel have to do anything?》i ask him, trying to keep him distracted as the others were making a plan on how to deafeat him, since i couldent do anything since his body was in between me and them.

《Oh, Toriel, such a nice lady, if it wasn't for her I wonder how I could have been right now, 》 said Tenna, staring down at his hands, letting out a tired sigh.

《Did you try to kill me before? In the ex game room?》

《Excuse me?》

《You heard me》

《No, it wasn't me》

At least i know it was him, the mini Kris thaa tried to murder me, thats some what reassuring-

《Excuse me, what?! How can I leave you two days, to be independent, run away from our date, and then almost get yourself killed?! Are you insane? So I was right to worry about you, oh my gosh》said Tenna, putting a hand on his screen.

CHAPTER SIXTEEN: FINALY TALKING

I sigh, looking at my friend walking ahead of me, their body is shaking, but not because it was cold, because of fear, there was something that's worrying my friend, and I need to know what it is.

We reach the end of the hallway, where Zapper first stoped me from comming in, but this time, there no one, no muffed voiced because the door, there is nothing and no one, only our steps could be heard, Kris opens the door and holds it open for me, the changing rooms were also empty, only a sad pair of socks left on the ground.

I look around the room as Kris waits for me in front of a metal door. On the mirror, there is a Post-it. I take it, the writing looks pretty neat, I could have been written by Elnina?

"Hey, so, when the lightners close off the fountain, we'll all find a way to see each other."

Maybe this is for the others. If we close up the fountain, will they stop existing? Or will they be alive just in another place? I hope they won't die because of my choices.

I walk in Lanino and Elnina room, the place is the same as i first entered, the rug, the two beanbags, it feels almost nostalgic to be honest, I look around hoping to see some other post-it, but there isnt anything, i walk out, and Kris was still waiting for me, i walk over then and they start walking towarts a path i some what reconize, this is the same path i did when i first met Spamton, but i went straingt ahead, they instead turned left.

There were all kinds of machines, ropes hanging from the ceiling, curtains half ripped...

If anyone got here, they wouldn't believe their eyes, well, neither did I 《Is anyone but me been in one of these Worlds?》 Kris nods and starts telling me the names of people that were already "kidnapped" by one of these fountains.

Kris.

Susie.

Beardly.

Noelle.

Toriel.

And now me.

I didnt think Noelle would last five minutes in a place like this, and i dont even want to think of all the things Beardly did, Kris and Susie were probably the first that were taken by the dark fountain since they look very chill about it, Noelle would have told me about it, so probably she thinks its all fake, Beardly would have made a presentation about other worlds and tell anyone.

Susie at first convinced me that it was all a dream, so she probably convinced both of them the same thing. I shake my head, thinking.

But how did a fountain open in Kris's home, and why did it take Toriel too? And who's the Knight? Why did they even mention him?

《 Whose the knight?》 I ask Kris, their shoulder dense, stopping on their tracks, they shake their head and ask me how I know about it.

[Kris P.O.V]

How do they know?!

Who told them?!

I tried everything, ANYTHING, to not let them about about the knight, oh no no, if they know, it means someone told them, if someone told them it means they know about the knight, it means THE Knight is here...

This isn't good, why would it be here?

Why didn't it left?

Is it because this damn soul of mine is putting my friends in danger?

Can I even tell them anything, or will that make the knight target them? It would make them a target, they wouldn't stand it.

It's all this soul's fault!

《I...Its an enemy, like Tenna》i say to them, they look up at me 《like Tenna?》they ask, has they not realized that Tenna was activaly trying to capure us and make us his minions for his gameshow, i sigh shanking my head, 《yes, like Tenna》they go silent walking infront of me in a direction they didnt know, me indicating them towarts the room.

And here we are, the room, the room I first played the original minigame of Tennas show. I sit on the ground, petting the place next to mine as they sit next to me. I grab the odd controller and turn on the game

《I need to tell you something》

《What is it?》

《I don't want a soul anymore》

《Why》

I told them everything.

Except for the knight.

The fact that it is a torture for me, a virus, a parasite, that I remove it, that I tear open my skin to get it out.

That deep down.

I never had free will, and I probably never will.

A hand hits my cheek.

A slap that will probably leave a deep red mark, I look back at them.

They were crying.

I don't think they took it well.

I hug Kris.

Why, why, didn't they ever tell me? We have always been friends. Why didn't they tell me? Oh lord, they must have been in so pain, the way they described it was very graphic to say the least, the pain, the feeling...

It's horrible, they hug me back, their scarlet eyes empty, they've never been good at feelings, and after all they've been through, I don't think they will ever be.

《Is this why you don't play the piano anymore?》i ask them, and they nod. They stopped everything, just to feel like they were in control, just to feel like they had free will. Is this why this dark world was created? Just Kris' soul making them lose control?

No, it can't be, they said they remove their soul at night just to have a nice night of sleep.

I don't think how anyone could survive like this. How did they survive this? Why would they even survive this?

I feel like throwing up, this feels horrible...

They let go of the hug, letting me cry a bit, and I shake my head in disappointment.

《Why didn't you ever tell me?》

《I didn't want you to worry...》

They mumbled something at the end, but I couldn't catch it very well. I think they said something about danger?

Chapter fifteen: HALLWAY

I see Kris walking away, I follow after them, Susie looks down at me and whispers in my ear 《whats wrong with them? They fell asleep today in class. Do you know anything?》she asks. I shake my head and look back at Kris; they look more nervous to say the least, their shoulders tense, and the rest of their bodies are rigid.

I need a moment to talk to them, only five minutes to know what's wrong with them. I walk up to them, trying to keep up with their pace, their eyes looking straight ahead, not giving me a single glance.

I touch their shoulder, and the contact seem to break anything that was going inside their head, their scarlet eyes staring in mine, they shake their head and do a hand jesture as if saying 'later' but now im staring to wonder, when is later, do they even want to tell me whats wrong with them or they are just buying time to make us leave?

I sigh. At least Tenna was more direct, meaner, but direct. Why am I missing Tenna so much? Is it because I technically ran off during our friendly dinner? And what's up with the flower? Heh...probably Rauxuls gave it to him, trying to convince him to take a spot in command now that I left, I wish I could have seen that, Tenna's face would have been...cute? No, no, priceless, probably a mix of disgust and shock.

I smile at the idea, this place is just so magical and colorful, and the people here are just so nice, when I'm out of here I'm gonna miss them, all of them, Elnina, Lanino, Rauxuls, Pipin, Zapper and of course...

Tenna

I don't know why, but the idea of leaving him kinda saddens me. I feel like I don't know everything about him, that there is a side I still have to find, and that thrills me. In our city, I know everybody, I know almost everything about anyone, the way they do things, their beliefs, but here?

Everything is different here, nothing makes sense, no one makes sense, and this is wonderful, no one really bothers with each other, and they just live happily like that, by having their happy relationships, and lovers...

Something I never got to enjoy back home, while working for Tenna, I felt something, something, attention? Interested? Being useful overall? I really didn't understand, but now, I think my feelings are starting to make sense.

I think it's-

《You know, if you start missing them, you can just come to visit them anytime you want. In the school closet is where everyone of our past "enemies" lives, I'm making rooms for each of them. I can make a room even for you so you can stay as much time as you need!》 Said the goat boy, who chatched up to me.

I look at him 《really? Would you do that for me?》 He smiles and nods happily 《can it be next to Tenna's?》 I ask Ralsei, he looks a bit stunned by my question, but nods anyway, giving me a warm smile.

As we walk, we see a long red carpet that takes us outside the curtains. We follow it. Many mini golden tennas glow as we pass. I wonder if I could take one home. I shake that thought out of my mind. Maybe it's better not to steal anything till I don't solve my feelings problem.

A door is standing in front of us. We are so close to the end, I don't know how to feel about it yet, but Ralsei said that I could visit anytime. I take a deep breath and open the door, and here we are back in the green room.

It feels so cold and empty, a deep fog covering the ground. I look at Ralsei, then Susie, and lastly Kris, who was walking around the room. The police tape was removed with force, as if someone had cut through it with a knife or something.

Kris said something to Ralsei and Susie, and then they went inside the 'S' room, i want to follow them but Susie stops me 《they said that thay wanted to be alone for a bit, i think its better to wait them outside》i shake my head, if i wait for them when will i have the occasion to finaly talk to them, to finaly know whats wrong with them?

I walk in anyway, the long hallway greeting me once again, and probably for the last time, the deeper I walk, the heavier my eyelids seem to feel, my mind starting to become dull because of all the memories coming back, Zapper, Lanino, Spamton and that weird, friendly, bicolorful eye creature.

This is where everything started basically, and thanks to this hallway, I managed to find the warehouse with all the files...

The files, I never got the chance to read it! I wonder if he took it at the restaurant board or if he may have forgotten it in the green room. After I'm done speaking with Kris, I have to find that file and read it.

Thanks to that, I will finally manage to understand what kind of person Tenna is!

I smile at myself, I feel like a stuck-up teenager with a dumb crush, where stalking someone feels the only right choice to know someone before actualy trying and talk with them. Of course, I already spoke with Tenna, but now that I have a clearer vision of my feelings feels a bit embarrassing.

But now, I need to put my feelings aside, because now I have a friend to worry about, and maybe help if I can, and when all of this is over, when everything is fixed, I will have nothing to worry about.

Not my feeling nor my friendship, everything will be fixed thanks to the closing of the fountain. Ralsei will build me a room, and all worries will be gone.

Chapter fourteen: FLOWER

《So, are you going to explain or what》i ask Kris, looking at them in their crisom eyes. They sigh and look back at Susie and Ralsei and continue walking.

What.

I catch up to them and grab them from the shoulders. 《Say something! What's going on? Why are you acting like- like this?!》 I begged Kris for an explanation, but they just shook their head, watching Susie and Ralsei. I wanted to punch them. Kris has always been a weird kind of kid, even more since they became eight, but it didn't matter! They were still the Kris, a bit weirder, but I was still them.

But now, they dont feel the same, their skin is cold, like as if no blood was moving inside to bring warm and color at the skin, but this, this is weird, Kris have never really a cold kind of person, in all ways, everytime i was cold they would give me their hand to heat me, since human blood works faster i was easier for them to heat up, from monster they had all their way to protect from the cold, like fur.

They can't just not explain things to me!

After everything, our friendship, I can't believe they still don't say this things to me, I look back at Ralsei and Susie. 《When they leave, we need to talk about it, understood?》 It wasn't really a question; they looked at me and then nodded, continuing to walk forward.

[TENNA POV]

I came back from the "bathroom" holding a flower; luckily, Pipin managed to buy one and run back here. I needed to properly apologize for the last time. I really shouldn't have reacted like that to them. For Lanino, I gave him a few extra vacation days as an apology. Now, I only had to talk to them.

I walk in in the restaurant, but were a few minutes ago we were sitting there was no one, only the food we ordered was getting cold on the counter. I heard some voices deeper in the room, and I saw Elnina.

And the royal blue guy whose name I forgot was crying on the floor as a maniac, while Lanino and Elnina were holding hands, staring at him. Lanino sees me coming and gives me a wave.

《Yo boss, look what happed》said Lanino, turning his head to the desperate crying man on the ground. 《What happened when I left?》i asked, looking around the room, hoping to see the one to whom the flower I was meant to give.

《Ohh, are you looking for your date? Well, they aren't here anymore, they broke up with Rouxls, and we understood that he was a bit...weird, so we broke up too》i look at the cloudy girl that spoke next to Lanino, I shake my head, if they weren't here, where were they now? I look at the couple, and they stare back at me.

《So, where are they now?》

《With...Kris》

《WHAT?!》

Krishas been here, and NO ONE tried to capture them!? I can't believe it, so Kris, goat boy and Susie were in this room while I was grabbing the flower to apologize, just to take the ONLY reason I left in the first place, just to escape!?

Great, just great, the flower is now squished, all the petals falling on the floor. I sigh in desperation; they won't help, so I'd better do it myself at this point. I'm gonna find them, give them a new damn flower, and I'm gonna grab both you and Kris to continue the show.

[KRIS POV]

What is going on!?

My does my chest hurts, like it's about to burst open, and I can barely breathe normally.

Luckily, they went in the back with Ralsei and Susie. I really doubt they would have stopped interrogating me if they saw me like this.

Is it the soul consequences?

Or is it just a torture from the knight, a consequence of what I accepted a year ago?

I take a moment to breathe, trying to think properly. I need an excuse to isolate Ralsei and Susie, just a few minutes, to tell them what is going on. I need to do it now.

As I stop, I try to put my hand on one of the televisions, but I fall in.

[BACK TO YOUR POV]

We were in a dark room, with a wardrobe in the middle of the dark room. Ralsei, Susie and Kris walked towards it, but I stayed back.

I look around, I feel like I'm being watched, and then I see it, a set of eyes watching me in the darkness, yellow and pink eyes following everyone's movements. I recognize them, and they recognize me, giving me a sharp smile.

Kris grabs my shoulder and hides me behind the corner with Ralsei and Susie. I peek out and see him, Tenna, standing in front of Spamton.

Wait, SPAMTON! He's ok?!

《My old [PAL] I knew that [DEEP] down you stil C4r3d for me!》 Tenna looks around, confused, and then sprays Spamton, sticking him in foam, then he grabs two things from the ground and leaves.

I run up to Spamton, freeing him from the foam, and hugging him, at least he was ok 《are you hurt? What happed? Who was on the phone?》 I start interrogating Spamton, he just sighs, but before he can say anything, Kris interrupts, asking if we have already met. I nod and tell him everything, except for the weird creature cat with a yellow and a pink eye following me, if it's around, I prefer it not knowing I talked about it.

Kris nods at my words while taking Spamton out of my arms. 《All of that just for a [FLOWER] and a [BLUE BALL], how did I 3v3n w0rk with that Guy》said Spamton, before taking off his glasses and putting them inside Kris's pocket, and then he was gone.

Did he say flower?

Chapter thirteen: BREAKUP

[Kris pov.]

I need to find the fountain, need to let everybody out of here, Mom is trapped, Susie wants to go back home and make sure Noelle is doing all right, Ralsei looks and acts odd, probably worried about turning into stone as Lancer did back at the Queen's mansion…

And they are all hoping I can do something, but I can't. I know the Knight is hiding somewhere close by. I know it, I tried to call it on my phone, but the only thing playing is garbage sounds, I really wish it won't hurt any of my friends.

But deep down, what has to be done it will do it, doesn't matter what i want, the only thing i desire for is for this red heart to leave my body, the more it stays the less alive i feel, the first day that thing took my body i layed in bed for days, not able to move, i never wanted this, this damn soul.

I wanted to be like all the others, like mom, or dad, or Asriel.

But no, the universe wanted me to grow a parasite inside my body, a parasite called ‘soul’, i wonder how many times i died, the intense pain i felt in my body after all the resurrections, i counted twelve since that thing has grown in me, i was just eight years old, i did grow it out -kinda- but i learned to live with it, not to accept it, but just to continue living.

I'm doing all of this just for them, my friends, no matter what.

It's too quiet.

Ralsei and I are sitting on the ground, trying to cool off after running away from Tenna's helpers and sparing them. It's exhausting. I stand up to get some water.

But the watercooler attacks us.

Tenna is walking me back to the restaurant board, he said he was hungry, so probably he wanted us to have lunch together, that's nice of him, we walk one next to the other, telling each other stories from the past.

《And then Lanino fell off the stage! In live! Oh, the laughter and the videos I saved before he threw a tantrum and deleted everything, but he doesn't know i got one video saved on my phone!》Said Tenna, laughing, holding out his phone to make you watch the video.

I smile at the video, Lanino standing on top of his chair to reach the top of the meteo map, but then the chain broke, making Lanino fall off the stage.

《Oh, what an idiot, I'm happy I hired him and Elnina, I still remember when I was a young conductor, they were the first two I hired...I mean, after I hired him, and I thought everything was gonna be great, that I would be a big shot, and here I am, half forgoten》Tenna sighs, and the room seems colder, maybe because of Spamton, even tho he doesn't talk much about him. I can see they were great friends.

《You and him were close, mh?》《More than close, well, after what he done I don't really want to talk about him, so, let's go, we are almost there》said Tenna, taking my hand and dragging me there.

Tenna pushes the restaurant door open, and it's just like I remember it, full of people and cooks behind the counter. Tenna and I sit on the high stools, one next to the other. Tenna ordered a crispy fried chicken with a banana split, while I ordered my favorite dish.

《Give me a minute》said Tenna before standing up and leaving, with me waiting for him and our food to come out. I sigh in desperation. I really hope the others are doing ok...

《Ohh, look who is here, happy to see you're doing alright!》 I hear a voice behind me. I turn my head, and I see Elnina smiling. I stand up and go hug her. 《Im so happy you're here. I was getting food with Tenna, but then he left-》《Wait. Getting food with Tenna I didn't know i was interrupting a date! I'm so happy you managed to tell Lanino and Rouxls about the "Breakup"》

I forgot to tell them. I know Lanino knows this isn't serious, but Rouxuls doesn't, oh no, I should have said something before, I really have to tell them. I sigh and ask Elnina where the others are. She takes me toward the end of the room, and there are Lanino and Rouxls!

And Kris, Susie and Ralsei in front of them, looking ready to fight, Kris looks at me, light appearing in their red eyes, telling me to get next to them.

《But if you capture us, won't you get Tenna's admiration?》 Asks Ralsei at Rouxls, the white haired man smiles. 《《My three Paramours art already TV Guy's Second-In - Commande and board helpers. And by the Transitive Propertie, that also maketh ME this world' S Personal Duke of Puzzles! Right Honey 1, Honey 2 and Honey 3? That's howe this Workse?》Asks us Rouxls, Lanino and Elnina, looking at the floor.

Oh, so he dosnt know, great just what i needed, Rouxls lets the others pass and Kris runs up to me and hugs me as tight as they can, barely letting me breath, telling me that we had to go now, that Toriel was kidnapped and locked in a round plastic container by Tenna, and if we wanted to help her we had to seal the fountain fast, and promised to explain everything as soon everything is over.
