So I had the idea of a villain who eats stars back in 2015, but now that project hail mary exists, which apparently has something that eats stars (or at least has a name that means star eater) people will think I got the idea from phm, which came out in 2021. Do I just let them think that or do I try to prove I had the idea before the book was written?

Regardless, I feel like I should read the book and/or watch the movie.
