"I didn't like purple. Last time I saw that purple one… that was the last thing I saw. I stopped watching the movie. My head had come off." – Temuera Morrison reflecting on his role as Jango Fett, asked in 2022 about his favorite color of lightsaber to wield

Behind the Geeks chat with Temuera Morrison.
He's the man beneath the helmet of Jango and Boba Fett (not to mention billions of clones) and while at Fan Expo Canada in Toronto Temuera Morrison spoke with Behind The Geeks about his very busy career, his many upcoming projects and of course his time in the Star Wars galaxy. This is our interview with the legendary Temuera Morrison. During our conversation he discusses the changes in his industry surrounding representation of indigenous culture and his experiences both before and after Star Wars. We also discuss Moana 2, and his upcoming song featured in the movie. Temuera Morrison joined us from Fan Expo Canada in Toronto where he’ll be meeting with fans and discussing his time as Boba Fett between August 22nd to the 25th at The Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Temuera Morrison joins the cast of The Bluff.
Co-starring former Eastenders star Zack Morris, genre legend Karl Urban and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Temuera Morrison has joined the cast of Amazon MGM Studios‘ period feature The Bluff, which will see Chopra Jonas star as a former pirate trying to keep her family safe when her past starts to catch up with her. No word on what role Tem has in the production, but with the mega powers of Joe and Anthony Russo producing it's sure to be a big hit when it lands on Amazon next year. The Bluff centers on a former pirate (Chopra Jonas) who attempts to keep her family safe when she is confronted with her dangerous past. The project will debut on Prime Video on a yet-to-be-announced release date. Producing the movie are Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Angela Russo-Otstot and Michael Disco for AGBO, along with Chopra Jonas and Cinestar Pictures’ Cisely Saldana and Mariel Saldana. Serving as executive producers alongside Flowers and Ballarini are Chris Castaldi, Ari Costa and Kassee Whiting for AGBO, Zoe Saldaña for Cinestar Pictures, and Thorsten Schumacher for Rocket Science. Morrison is known for playing Boba Fett in a number of projects in the Star Wars franchise, including the Disney+ series The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. His other credits include both Aquaman films and the forthcoming Apple TV+ series Chief of War alongside Jason Momoa. Morrison is represented by RBA Management in Australia and New Zealand, in addition to JR Talent Group and Thirdhill Entertainment in Los Angeles. We were very fortunate to have a front row seat for The Mandalorian panel at MCM Comic Con a few months back, which saw Temuera on top form. [amazon box="130296027X"]
Temuera Morrison talks Boba Fett and whether he might return in The Mandalorian & Grogu.
Onstage during the "From Clone Troopers to Bounty Hunters" at FAN EXPO Chicago this past weekend, Temuera Morrison gave something of an update regarding The Mandalorian & Grogu and whether or not Boba Fett will be appearing in the May 2026 movie. Speaking onstage he indicated that the call to arms had yet to come. "I'm still waiting for a phone call to be quite honest. I think we're just put on the shelf for a little bit. Maybe we come off the shelf later." Unlike numerous other websites who are reporting this as confirmation that Tem isn't appearing in the film, this says three things to us. First, the film is in production with the obligatory reshoots taking place later in the schedule. Fellow Mandalorian star Giancarlo Esposito came into Captain America: Brave New World at the last minute, filming for a number of weeks to be interwoven into the fabric of the film. Second, just because he says he's not had a call / isn't appearing etc means nothing - Liam Neeson wasn't in Kenobi, until he was. Finally, Morrison wouldn't be cleared to announce his involvement onstage at a convention when Lucasfilm could make headlines worldwide by announcing that the legendary Boba Fett is back on the big screen almost 25 years after Daniel Logan played young Fett in Attack of the Clones. We discuss the possibility of a Boba Fett return on tomorrow nights 202nd episode of Making Tracks, which lands at 7.00pm on Amazon, Apple, Soundcloud or your podcatcher of choice. Temuera Morrison is coming to MCM London Comic Con 2024.
MCM London Comic Con is this weekend and as thousands of fans prepare to head to Docklands and the huge ExCeL center, news arrives that the legend that is Boba Fett himself Temuera Morrison will be joining The Mandalorian stars Emily Swallow, Brendan Wayne and Tait Fletcher at the show, and onstage for THe Mandalorian panel at 1.00pm on Sunday 26th. If you've never seen Tem onstage at a show then get ready as it can get rowdy. https://www.facebook.com/LondonComicCon/posts/pfbid02SAJCmdRz2PAPB7VCqCXxQrZEUUKDqN1XyJgr37UTymCpaeRuZQami2GKNREhiSwWl Temuera Morrison is a New Zealand actor. After training in drama under the New Zealand Special Performing Arts Training Scheme, one of his earliest starring roles was in the 1988 film Never Say Die, opposite Lisa Eilbacher. In 1996, Morrison played opposite Marlon Brando in The Island Of Dr. Moreau. He has appeared in supporting roles in Speed 2: Cruise Control (1997) and The Beautiful Country (2004). In 1988 he got to show some comic flair in the James Bond parody Never Say Die. In 2005, Morrison became the host of the talk show The Tem Show on New Zealand television. He released his debut album, Tem, through Sony Music Entertainment NZ in late November 2014. The album consists of covers of songs that his father, and uncle Sir Howard Morrison, used to perform at local venues when he was growing up. Morrison has gained attention for his role as the bounty hunter Jango Fett in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones (2002). Part of the film's plot involves an army of clones created with Jango's DNA; Morrison also provided the voice acting for the clones. He reappeared as a number of clones in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, and re- recorded the lines of the character Boba Fett (Jango's "son") and another clone in the 2004 DVD re-releases of the original Star Wars trilogy, replacing the voice of Jason Wingreen. Most recently, Temuera starred in the Disney series, The Book of Boba Fett as the title character, reprised his role in The Mandalorian, and was featured in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. Fantha Tracks are there over the weekend, along with many of the costuming groups you love to see, so look out for us (we're recording a live episode of Making Tracks over the weekend) and hopefully we'll see you there.
