Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā decision - making had never been laurenās strong suit. particularly not in her youth , as her life path had been molded by those around her who often asserted that they knew best. as such , it was much less that she had donned a ā go - with - the - flow ā disposition ; rather , an anxiety-ridden one. but upon becoming a mother , much had changed for her. having an entire being dependent upon her allowed her to step more into herself. in motherhood , lauren felt sheād found who she was always naturally inclined to be : a caretaker , a lover , a giver. sheād always been selfless , that much was true , but this was a role that she felt REQUIRED such behavior. in that way , lauren supposed it was only natural she gave life to another.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā but , of course -- her reality did not come without the occasional disruption & subsequent disarray. evident in her then strained relationship with her fraternal twin -- now non - existent relationship - , the tragic loss of her mother , the disappearance of her lover. it was undeniable : laurenās reality was that which was marked by precariousness. even so , the one thing sheād been prepared for was giving life to one whose species would differ from her own. funny , she thinks , that thisād been the one peculiarity sheād been prepared for ... or at least , so she thought. though easy to beat herself up , she simply concludes that she couldnāt have forseen aidanās most recent incident just ten years prior when first approached. ten years ... felt like something of an eternity ago now , what with all that has since unfolded.
