Look at my best girl! I can’t draw for beans (thx dyspraxia!), but I still made my girl. As you can see, it’s a bit funky and wonky with the hair and earring, but that’s still a whole entire visualization of a character I’ve heretofore been unable to bring to life outside of the written word.

It takes a bit of patience for non-white and/or mixed characters, and it has way more “girl” references than “boy,” but it’s still doable.

Once again, is it perfect? No. Weird beard and hair edges. But look at that! A mixed race boy, once again pretty stinking close to how I thought him up!

The one serious issue it has, that I’ve found, is making realistically non-beautiful people. Like, average looking folks. All these people come out gorgeous, which isn’t necessarily bad, but it’s not exactly realistic. Also age. It has way too many ‘young’ references, and not enough ‘old folks’ references, so trying to get anyone older than ‘young adult’ is difficult. But once again, it’s better than nothing and/or getting furious when your hands and still-developing art skills won’t give you the picture of the person you have in your head.
