It was probably something akin to a miracle that the ship hadnât sustained more external damage.  Sure, some of the ridiculous turrets had broken off.  And there were a few dents.  And there was a chance that the main entrance would never be functional again.  But all in all the damage wasnât so bad.  It looked like it would fly.  The problem, of course, was that the Dignitary hadnât yet managed to get the ship into the air.  Or, rather, he hadnât been able to get the whole thing into the air.  The motor on the left side was working just fine, and would lift half of the red monstrosity up, but the motor on the right would only emit a screech and some smoke. Â
Heâd looked at it, tried to get some of the blood off of it, picked bits of meat and gore from between the circuitry, but the Dignitary had yet to get it working. Â Hence his need for a mechanic. Â
