"Of course," he echoed. He was not the least bit surprised. The man lived a monk's life. Yokai, yes, but not remotely dangerous. The Euthanatos felt nothing in sleeping in the same room with this gentle creature.

A recipe he borrowed from a royal palace where a young queen once treated her cats like children. "Lord Uta, I do wonder how come, for such a majestic cat," he gave the animal a soft poke. "That you always show up when I feed the strays that certainly do not know such comforts as yourself?"

It had been an interesting night, and Zora found themself a little bit surprised that they were able to get so comfortable, so open in exploring something further with Kazane.

They had still been nervous about how their touch, their overall presence would feel to her. And so the prospect of another round, while.. not unappealing, still made them wonder.

Did she want a round two?

Zora glanced at the ceiling for a few moments before gazing softly at Kazane.

Sang had seen it three nights ago; the thread where Botan's master—a yokai of petty cruelties—grew bored of his servant's weaknesses and tore out his throat. The vision had burned behind Sang's blindfold with the usual agonising clarity, and he had made a choice. He pulled Botan free before the thread could snap, dragging him through the veil as the yokai's howls faded behind them.

But Sang hadn't thought very far ahead. He'd brought Botan to the human world, where all he had was a humble apartment, where the one and only bed was in the living room.

He supposed it made sense. He'd brought Botan here, and now he was his responsibility. But he had never been in a situation like this before, and he truly had no idea what to do. He'd never even had a pet before, how could he care for another?

He slowly turned around from his seat at his desk, looking over Botan who was lounging on the bed a mere few feet away. This home was not big enough for two people.

"You look handsome..." Rumpelstiltskin laughed quietly as Iwai approached. With a flick of her wrists, the picnic blanket unfolded before them both, sprawled out on the forest ground. A few snaps of her fingers and food began to pop into existence, sandwiches, lemonade, some cookies, various other things to nibble on.

She couldn't hide her open shock at his suggestion even if she wanted. Sitting up suddenly from where she had been lying down reading with Tomo sleeping curled up against her chest. She had just been about to fall asleep when his delicate words landed between them so quietly she had wondered if she dreamed them up from being in that sweet spot between awareness and deep sleep. Displeased at being woken up, Tomo simply retreats underneath the quilt with a sidelong glare at Iwai.

"That's what you want to do today, on Christmas?"

Not that she was ever one to celebrate it anyway, the idea seems like something more likely to come from Pinky's mouth than Iwai's. Surprised, and then just skeptical she looks curiously at the book in his hands and only sees the usual vintage book he likes to read. Nothing immediately standing out to her. Narrowing her eyes slightly-

"Are you joking?"

Though they had gone to the garden for some fresh air, the music was still audible from the open ballroom doors. It was pretty, perfect for dancing, though Niamh hadn't wanted to dance with any of her potential suitors.
