Wouldn’t it be cool if Temple Hyacinthus’ first YouTube video on www.youtube.com/@templehyacinthus and the official launch of our new Temple Website at www.TempleHyacinthus.org both happened on Friday the 13th during Pride Month? Wouldn’t that be cool? 👀

Now that I’ve made posts about every currently dedicated temple, I’ve decided what I’m going to do next. Starting next Tuesday, I will be sharing a mini-digest of temple updates. Next week’s post will give a quick summary of the construction status of every temple currently under construction or awaiting groundbreaking. Then, every two weeks, I’ll share a digest of all temple construction news that has taken place since the previous post. If nothing has changed during those two weeks, I’ll share an uplifting temple story, a conference talk about temples, or other similar content. This will be the main format for the foreseeable future.
In addition to the bi-weekly construction updates, I will also be sharing weekly updates on the reopening of temples following the shutdown due to COVID-19. Starting next Monday, I’ll share any status changes announced that week, as well as the updated operating status list of all temples. I chose Monday for these updates since that’s when the Church has been announcing re-openings and when previously announced re-openings take effect.
Finally, I do still plan to share breaking news posts as they happen - new temples announced at General Conference, new or updated information regarding groundbreakings, open houses, dedications, etc. And of course, feel free to share any content suggestions you may have by contacting me on any Temple Tuesday social media account (Tumblr, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter). Thanks again for your continued support!

Khaire Temple Patrons and Visitors, wishing you all a peaceful Saturday!
This post serves as an announcement that the name of Our Temple has been changed, slightly, to better reflect our purpose and our future projects.
-> TLDR; The Temple of Hyacinthus is now simply 'Temple Hyacinthus'
When our Temple was founded in 2024 - and until recently - its name had been 'The Temple of Hyacinthus'. However, as some of you may have noticed, this was a bit of a misnomer.
While our Temple honors Prince Hyacinthus, especially as consort to Lord Apollo, he has never been the central focus of our worship. So while named after Prince Hyacinthus, the Temple has never really been a temple for Prince Hyacinthus.
Our Temple was named after Prince Hyacinthus, both the individual mythic figure - as well as the overtly queer story of his relationship with Lord Apollo. This naming was chosen as to honor queer divinity, queer relationships, and the blending of the traditionally western ideas of femininity and masculinity.
However, as a result of this misnomer, we have been incorrectly labelled as a Temple that focuses on the worship of Prince Hyacinthus. When in actuality, we primarily focus on the worship of Lord Apollo, Lady AphroditĂŞ, Lord Hermes, and Lady Hestia.
So to better express the true meaning behind our name, and to better align with future works we hope to create, our Temple has been renamed to 'Temple Hyacinthus'. Post pre-name change can still be found under #TheTempleofHyacinthus - but moving forward we will be using the tag #TempleHyacinthus.
As a final note, we have secured the handle @ TempleHyacinthus on various social media platforms (Tumblr, YouTube, Instagram, and Bluesky) to prevent any possible bad actors from posing as us in the future. Please note that we ARE NOT on Twitter/X, Facebook, TikTok, or any other social media platforms not listed above.
The url will be templehyacinthus.org but the website is not yet live - if you would be interested in helping to fund this project (the domain has been purchased but running the website for a year will cost $174) please shoot us a DM!
Estimated Completion Date: December 2024
2. Official Temple of Hyacinthus Ritual Calendar
This will include monthly holidays like Noumenia and Hekatê’s Deipnon, as well as annual festivals like HyakĂntha and Asclepia
The calendar will be available as a Google Calendar link and a free printable wall calendar.
Estimated Completion Date: December 2024
3. Official Temple of Hyacinthus YouTube Channel
Exact content type is not yet decided. Videos may include visuals for meditation and prayer, recordings of rituals, how-to guides, and possibly Didachà (a Greek word that means “teaching” - it would be akin to a sermon or opinion piece).
This project is still in the early stages of planning - accurately described as the “rough draft” phase.
Estimated Completion Date: Early-Mid 2025
All of our services and projects will continue to be provided free of charge. Donations are always appreciated but never expected.
If you have any questions, requests, or suggestions please feel free to send us an ask!
Please be advised the our Temple's Website [ https://aonianre.wixsite.com/hyacinthus ] is currently undergoing construction and renovation. Links may be non-functional and webpages may be formatted incorrectly (especially on mobile). Once renovations are complete, we aim to have the following changes made:
A dedicated URL for ease of access and navigation*
Updated graphics and information for all Temple related information.
Updated navigation and cross-page linking for improved connectivity and accessibility.
New calendar information and downloads for both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres (as requested by community members).
We appreciate your patience as we seek to improve our services and community 🧡
*The URL has already been purchased, once the new website is live it will be hosted at www.templehyacinthus.org
