She peered into the book, adjusting her glasses, a look of cross confusion on her face. Lowering the book, she focused on the board between them, staring for a moment before going back to consult the text. "Nope. No, I saw that, that's cheating." Ena closed the book and snapped it onto the table, causing her teacup to rattle. "Don't start taking advantage of me now, you said you were going to teach me, Rutherford."
Ena'seanait, who much preferred 'Shay' nowadays (though it was proving a slow change to catch on), narrowed her eyes at the man across the table, raising an eyebrow to an almost unbelievable level. She placed and elbow on the table by her cup, resting her chin on her hand expectantly, the other hand resting on her thigh, elbow angled out just so to prove her irritation. What was the point if he wasn't going to do it right? Not that... she really understood what it was that he had done, but the book had said that it wasn't legal in the game. Right?Â
Now she was doubting herself. With a small, "Hm," and a further narrowing of her eyes, she picked the book back up and began sifting again, maybe she'd missed something? Shay fussed with her glasses again, flipping through the pages.
