It’s kind of the way that, I suppose I’ve been lucky enough to have been brought up. I’ve always been encouraged to see the glass as half full. Don’t get me wrong, though; some days are definitely harder than others. I think optimism has always helped me in my life. So I kind of wanted to put something out that felt hopeful and optimistic.
Q: Where did that come from?
I think it was my mum. My mum was always a very optimistic person. She always encouraged me to be as positive as life will allow.
- Louis Tomlinson’s interview with TELESHOW, Buenos Aires [6.4.2024]
“I actually don’t know yet! I haven’t started rehearsals yet but that’s always a fun thing to do, it feels really nostalgic singing the One Direction songs. It’s sometimes a fun project to try and reshape the sound of that and fit it into my current set, so I don’t know. I’ll pick one of the big ones.”

“I’ve just been asking people for recommendations to be honest. On this tour in general I’ve just been trying to educate myself on local artists as much as possible, so maybe you’ve got a name for me? [Interviewer suggests Bizarrap] Okay, okay, okay, okay cool. I’ll check em out. Sounds pretty cool, sounds cool!”
-Louis on if he has any favourite Argentinian artists. (6 April 2024)

“I'm very lucky to have this very special relationship. That’s why I'm here, for them. I'm here playing at a concert like the one I'm going to play and it's like a kind of codependency between them and me. A lot of passion and energy in Argentina. In fact, when we plan the tour — which we do it perhaps a year in advance — one of the places that I already know that the energy will go big is in Argentina."

“Not currently, no. We’ll have some great support acts, and other people playing on the bill with me, but in terms of with my performance? I don’t think so. There will probably be some new covers, a new One Direction song that I haven’t done before, but yeah, not sure about sharing the stage with someone on those days.”

“It’s an amazing feeling. There is— I think I was probably right to think this… but there was definitely a long time in my career where I didn’t think I’d ever get back to the size of venue that we played in the band, because it was just so big. So to be able to come back and be able to do that again, it makes me really proud. And not just of myself, but the fanbase as well, and what we’ve created together.”
-Louis on whether he’s excited to come back and play in a stadium as a solo artist just like he did with One Direction. (6 April 2024)
