Monster Rancher was kinda like Pokemon but the monsters were sealed in discs that you summoned via cds (at least in 2 and 4) There was loads of different types from dragons to bunnies and toys and even rAPTORS AND THE GRIM FUCKIN REAPER AND CENTAURS and you could mix them too and raise their stats and enter them into battles and send them out on adventures. Dude, one playthrough I did on MR2 I got a phoenix and a weirdass tree that I grew from a weird seed I had gotten that turned to be a monster.
