I have spent the better part of tonight going nuts over this band.  This isn’t even their best song; it’s just the one with the best video.  I’m kind of in love with Aki (the girl screaming at you), but everyone is pretty gorgeous to be honest.  And like, in a spooky sort of way.  It really makes them stand out.  And appeals to me personally, because that’s obviously so important. The songs are also good!  I’m just not prepared to talk about them in-depth right now.  The singer is half American and so she uses her voice in a different way than most Japanese singers, and she’s quite good at fitting it into a variety of songs.  Also, this is typically not a metal band.  I see people who don’t know music calling them metal and it’s usually not the case.  This is something more along the lines of “metalcore” with a couple of other things thrown in.  Kind of a subtle difference until you pick up on it, then it’s pretty obvious. Anyway, please listen to TELECiDE.  They make music for fashionable Japanese girls who need to lighten up, and it’s cool.  Also, another song (called PG-16) has the word “fam” in it, as well as lots of swears.  How could you not want to listen to them now?

I don’t normally listen to Japanese rock/metal, but I recently found a new group called TELECiDE. They consist of four (now five?) girls and the three songs they have released so far are all in English. If you like a mix of clean and unclean vocals, I recommend you check them out.
