Tehi is a mischievous bat. A cockblock as well. Has terrible timing. You know the robot lady in Spaceballs? Yeah, that’s Tehi. She sees Maeve kissing someone she bugs Maeve until Maeve gives her a kiss as well (a pretty jealous bat)

Tehi is the type to disappear for days, giving Maeve a heart attack only to find her in someone’s kitchen hiding in the fruit bowl. Which is why she’s known to give people heart attacks. 

Tehi is MEAN if she doesn’t like you. Tangles your hair, claws you, etc etc (she’s bitten Lucio once, bats were banned for a while). If she likes you she’s very cuddly and makes these huffy squeaky noises (it’s so adorable when bats do this, I’ve studied bats for a while and they are so cute). Loves head scritches and just scritches in general.

A JEALOUS MOTHERFUCKER. Loves Maeve and wants all of Maeve’s attention. When Maeve dates Tehi competes with Maeve’s SO’s. Does her best to get in-between Maeve and her SO, it can be pretty funny at times. Tehi sees you’re cooking? BAM flour is now everywhere and there’s a powdery white bat flying around. Cuddles with Maeve? NOPE. Tehi is now hogging the attention. Maeve giving head scratches? NO. Tehi’s head scratches. 

You have to bribe her to get her love, once you do the jealousy goes away. More or less. Loves kids and let’s kids give her pets. Hates baths so Maeve has to make sure the kid’s hands are clean before Tehi pats.

...when she does have to get a bath she SCREAMS (like this but 10 times louder: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nFfguMLS28c). It’s not even a real bath bath, it’s Maeve cleaning her off with warm water but Tehi makes it MISERABLE. She thrashes around and just screams. Once she’s done with her “bath” she flies to her perch and sulks for the rest of the day unless Maeve can bribe her down with something to eat. 

Tehi loves music and gets sleepy with softer songs. Maeve will hum and sing her bat friend to sleep on rough days :]

Bat snuggles! If she’s not sleeping on her perch she’s sleeping with Maeve (when Maeve naps that is. Maeve stays up late with a TERRIBLE sleep schedule but Tehi likes spending time with her. Tehi also is known for flying around during the day, but that’s pretty rare). She likes to sleep in the crook of Maeve’s side and hip or snuggle between Maeve and Maeve’s SO. Once again, cuddles? NOPE. Tehi. 

Hangs on Maeve’s back, or sits on her shoulder/head when she goes out with Maeve. Maeve’s regular patients at the clinic bring little fruit snacks for Tehi to gain the bat’s favour (and it works). She’s aggressive when she eats so no touching her food unless you wanna lose part of your finger. Gets into fights with the mean alley cats but generally gets along with most animals.
