Just uploading a post with both my D&D/Dungeon Worlds/etc. OCs. Teelk the lizardfolk rogue and Turn of the Page the tabaxi bard. Art by @filibusterfrog and @creamandhoneyscommissions , respectively.

Decided it’d be nice to have one post with all the art I’ve gotten over the years with my Dungeon & Dragons / Dungeon World OC, who’ve I’ve formally decided to call Teelk.

Basic concept I’ve had for her was a salamander-inspired lizardfolk who was captured by slave traffickers as a child. Said traffickers, however, were working outside of the rules of the cities thieves guild and eventually dealt with. She was adopted into the guild, making her a lizardfolk raised and trained by humans (giving her a more human-ish personality and thinking style) and a skilled thief in her own right.  They even gave her a name, going from “that lizard kid” to “TLK” to eventually “Teelk” !

I’ve only got her in one campaign so far (going a little slow), so her personality is still a WIP, but she’s a skilled but lazy type: on point and skilled when she needs to be, but really would like to just laze around and indulge herself if she could. But hey, nothing comes for free in this world, so you might as well get pretty good at taking it...preferably in a way that doesn’t get you killed.

The history of her design is rather...interesting. Was originally planning her for a different thing entirely: a forum RP inspired by animes like Sword Art Online. You know, those virtual MMO-RPG type settings, with the idea being a game still in beta testing and being horribly broken. Wanted to include non-human races cause thought it would be fun. Why a lizard? I was playing Dragonball Fighterz at the time and liked Frieza’s animations XD. Lizardfolk was a good match for getting a similar look, and I always liked rogues. The salamander and coloring was inspired by the TMNT 2012 cartoon’s version of Mona Lisa. Her initial armor in that first pic is based off of Alexander’s armor from Fate/Grand Order (I just like that sleeveless tunic look, and yes the stomach thing is just cause I think it looks good). Her casual clothes in that last pic are based on Lapis Lazuli’s outfit from Steven Universe.
