“One of the reasons i got cancer is because i did not love myself. when we love ourselves we value ourselves when we value oursevles we teach people how to teach us. loving yourself is as important as loving everybody else. when you love yourself you have more love to give other people.... most of us are brought up on the diet of fear. i used to fear everything, i used to fear cancer, eating the wrong foods, displeasing people, i fear failing and most of us are brought up fearing everything. most people think that fear keeps us safe. that's not true. love keeps us safe. when you love yourself and when you love other people, you make sure you keep yourself and others out of danger. love keeps you much safer than fear does.”

When you turn 18, nobody tells you that its now going to be your responsibility to parent yourself. And by parent yourself I mean its your job to make yourself do the crap you don't want to do, so you can be EVERYTHING you're supposed to be.
