Even though I had never visited, my heart breaks for the employees of Fun Spot Altanta and every person who saw it as their home park. I really hope its rides (particularly Aire Force One, an amazing RMC that’s only a few years old) can be saved.

Remember how I said I was gonna make a more detailed post about my feelings towards Kingda Ka’s removal (and every other ride removed from Great Adventure + the major non-GAdv removals)? Well, I think it’s just about time I did so…
Stay tuned.
something something Fast & Furious: Supercharged gets advanced warning in regards to its closure but Kingda Ka didn’t something something
Good News: The lead car of Kingda Ka’s teal train is being sent to a museum so that it can be properly preserved instead of rusting away in Great Adventure’s ride boneyard or being scrapped.
Bad News: The museum is actually some dude’s private collection that will likely never be open to the public, essentially hoarding all these important ride artifacts and bragging about it online (while continuing to ask for monetary support & promising that the museum will open Eventually(tm) ). It’s also in some random town in Texas instead of, idk, close to an amusement park.
(Also, yes— I am aware that the museum holds events where people can visit…but you either have to be a member of a roller coaster enthusiast group (ex; ACE) or be invited by the museum personally. You can’t just show up and take a tour (regardless if you need to buy a ticket or not) like how an actual museum operates).
Drag duo themed to the DTV transition, their names are “Anna Logue” and “Digit Al”. Is that anything.

Can’t believe Flavor Foley predicted Mr. Tenna’s entire character arc with their song “Static”.
Like I figured ppl were gonna make Chapter 3 animatics to it bcs it’s a song about TV and Escapism/Nostalgia but like….it is uncanny how accurate the lyrics are for Mr. Tenna.

Log Flume just finished a major refurbishment 🫤 Yet another group of rides that are (likely) to be closed for good at Great Adventure…
(Barnstormer iirc also went through some kind of refurbishment when it was relocated within the park & re-opened, but it and Swashbuckler appear to have been closed all season while Log Flume operated for like a month this season)
