٠ ࣪⭑Premise: When 9 springs to life, it finds itself in a post-apocalyptic world where humans no longer exist, and the only signs of life are sentient rag dolls like itself and the machines that hunt them. 9 convinces it’s comrades that the only way to survive against the machines is to stop hiding, go on the offensive, and find out why the machines want to destroy them. ⋆⭒˚｡⋆Thoughts: The whole film has an amazingly chilling and eerie atmosphere, think a combination of Fallout, Coraline, and Wall-e. There is an undeniably large amount of death and creepy imagery present, despite it being initially aimed at a younger audience. The visual design is amazing, the only minor criticism I have is for the rather strange ending..

⋆⭒˚｡⋆Thoughts: You’ve gotta go into this film with the mindset that you WILL like it, if you’re already uninterested you’re going to have a hell of a time sitting through utter silence for 2 and a half hours. The cinematography is beautiful, the story is bizarre, and if nothing else Hal 9000 and Dave are an easy lure. If you haven’t seen it at least once, you’re most certainly missing out.

⋆⭒˚｡⋆Thoughts: The main cast is very charming and the show has a fun, lighthearted feel to it. Character dynamics are fleshed out nicely and the banter always leaves you craving more. It’s got a good mix between silly and serious, but overtime it gets easy to notice patterns and repetition in its writing.

⋆⭒˚｡⋆Thoughts: I’ve never seen a film portray derealization more accurately almost too accurately because it’s confusing as fuck… It is one serious, overstimulating, tragic stress fest. I still don’t fully understand the ending, or whatever the hell was going on throughout the rest of it, but it was cool!

I’ve checked it out once before! I didn’t get very far into the film because I was busy and never got around to picking it back up

⋆⭒˚｡⋆Thoughts: Very nostalgic and fun, would’ve been a classic if I saw it when I was little. The pacing is a little strange and makes the film feel small in retrospect, but nevertheless entertaining. The main villain being a robot bowler hat is just the cherry on top.
