Veterans Day at TechShop Pittsburgh is an incredibly important day for us all. A large portion of our members are some of the finest veterans we've ever had the privilege of meeting. They're talented, kind, and most of all a huge part of our TechShop family. So when a 'thank you' isn't enough, we want to reach out today to say that we appreciate all that you do. We appreciate all of the sacrifices you and your families have made and we are so thankful to have you amongst us.
While we have a long list of individuals that are vets in our shop, we wanted to highlight just a few:
Mike S., you come into TechShop every day with a smile on your face and good joke up your sleeve. You make us all feel like family.
Gio A., you're always doing outreach to other veterans and making sure they know what's available to them. You run a veteran owned business and you make incredible products using our laser cutters. We are so proud of you. [Puzzle Pax]
Anthony W., with the ShopBot skills you acquired at TechShop, you've created furniture and fixtures for your wife's dog treat/pet store. We can't really think of a cooler way to use the shopbot.
MaryJo C. you've reached out to community in a way that we so desperately need. Your talent and drive to provide the community with better nutrition through cool methods inspires us daily. (Especially when you used the laser etcher to etch lasagna noodles!) [Wynk Nutrition]
Mike S., you've created some of the coolest lamps and artwork we've seen in the shop. You've made everything from coasters, engraved artwork, to custom commissions. We especially love your Pittsburgh map coasters. [Blissed Out Designs]
Terry R., you're a jack of all trades! From a pro pottery aficionado to being just an all around awesome guy, you continue to impress us with your skills. We especially loved when you made the planter stands using our welding department, and not to mention how cool it was when you used the ShopBot to create extrusion plates for pressing clay forms. Β
Jay G. you artwork inspires us. We are so proud to be a part of your process and place where you can work. We especially loved your work on the Millvale Library. Keep up the hard work! [Jay Grassel]
So, thank you to all of our members that have served and to the family of those that have served and are still serving. We salute you!
