In the first video I watched, which was Differentiating Instruction Through Interactive Games, the students seemed very excited. The teacher first did a group lesson over addition and subtraction and then for the rest of the lesson the students got on their devices and played games that incorporated addition and subtraction. During these games the students seemed very interested and enthusiastic about it. The teacher told the students that they needed to get an 80% or better on two games on one website before they were able to move onto another website. This ties in intrinsic motivation because the students want to be able to move to another game. Based on the first video the teacher plays more of a laid back role, they are there to answer questions instead of lecturing the whole time. In the second video I watched, which was Collaborative Digital Presentations Enrich Projects, showed how technology can improve group projects. The students in the group project were very engaged and excited that they were able to use google doc to use the visual representation part of their lessons. I already knew that technology could do big things in the classroom, but being able to watch these videos and see how you can use it for something as simple as addition made me realize how much it actually can.
