March: Dutch Comic Con happens, there’s a Wacom stand that sells Wacoms for cheaper than in the store. I’ve been needing a new one, and I figure this’ll make working on my last school assignments a whole lot easier, so I order one. They tell me I’ll have it within one or two weeks.

April: No Wacom came. I make a few calls, send a few emails. Apparently some people weren’t sure the tablet was paid for, which it definitely was. They promise me I’ll get it soon.

May: Still no tablet. I’m too busy in my hell of school work to temporarily give a fuck, I’ll deal with it later.

June: I call again. They’re shocked I haven’t gotten it yet and promise me I’ll get the special edition one instead of the regular one I ordered. Which will reach me when? Exactly, soon.

My laptop breaks literally the day before the most important presentation day of the year, it won’t start through to windows. When I used my laptop earlier that morning, it was still fine. The files I planned on making a video with were on there. Time for panick. The IT guy at school is nice enough to look at it for me, doesn’t know what’s wrong. I found most of my work back on my external hard drive (this is why back ups are important), but am forced to use a WIP version for some of my projects. At least the teachers had already seen the finished products.

I go to the store I bought it, and they tell me it has to be sent to the laptop company to be fixed. It’ll be done in about 2-4 weeks.

My Wacom arrives.

July: No call to come pick up my laptop.

August: It’s been more than 4 weeks. I make a call. “Oh, your laptop has been back here since July 9th. We sent multiple emails.” I did not get any emails.

On July 9th I could still travel for free with my student card. Now I have to pay about 40 euros to get there and back, since I’m staying with my parents for the summer on the other side of the country. I put up with it cause I just want my fucking laptop back. At least they were able to save my files.

Two days ago: Sometime when I was sleeping, the power went out in our house. That happens sometimes after a storm. I go to pick up my laptop and hope the power is back on by the time I get home (I mean, 11 hours of travel time is enough to get the fucking power running, right?). When I get home the power is restored in half of the house. Guess in which part of the house my room is?

Yesterday: Still no power in my room. I have to sit in my brother’s old room to reinstall my laptop, which is much closer to the living room than my room, so I get called every 2 seconds to do something for someone.

Today: I wake up, notice that the lights are on. Thank fuck, there’s power again. I check my phone, no internet connection. Nobody knows what’s wrong and the internet is working fine in the front part of the house (were there was power yesterday). Our house is kinda big, so we need two internets to be able to connect to the wifi in the whole house, so I check the internet box in the back part of the house and it was unplugged. When the power went out we unplugged everything, and the person who unplugged that forgot to plug it back in.

Let me just say god fucking ass damn I’m glad that’s over.

Now brb I’m gonna see if I can play the entirety of Portal 2 in one sitting.
