Narrator: ... Narrator: No response. Narrator: They’re still comin’. Boss: Last warnin’! Stop and drop ’em or— Narrator: ...Well... That ain’t the right response, but it’s the one you’re stuck workin’ with, ain’t it? Narrator: You grin mean and shout out your orders Boss: Light ’em up, girls! No mercy! Narrator: The ridges of the draw flicker and flash with the fire of all your muzzles crackin’. Narrator: Blackpowder smoke fills the windless little gully, and leaves you squintin’ and holdin’ your breath to keep from coughin’. Narrator: Gets to the point you ain’t even aimin’ at men so much as at shadows and memories. Narrator: When a stiff breeze finally comes along and lifts a bit of the smoke away, there are a few horses unmanned, confused and tryin’ to charge right on through.
