One thing I didn't say years ago, because season 5 was very painful, the ending was so sad that only now, after almost 10 years, I'm talking about Person of Interest, is that I don't accept Root's death for the simple fact that I never saw her being the machine, like, even though she was the machine's interface, Root was never THE MACHINE. I saw Root more as a counterpart to Finch, but something was missing: she didn't have empathy for the numbers, and I thought that was missing in Person of Interest. Back in season 3, they tried, but they didn't continue, and since then she's been making fun of it. I wish she had developed more about it. I wanted her to continue what Finch and Reese were doing. And if you look closely, the series' producer said they killed her because they had that idea from the beginning, but there were so many moments to kill her, but you see, they only killed her before the end because they didn't know where Root fit in at the end of the series. I was very sad about that, and I still am today. She was supposed to be in the final battle. and honestly I didn't even find the machine with her voice that interesting, it even seemed like torture to remember that she died, just to move the plot forward, for me the machine with several voices was much cooler.
