It's an upcoming Sonic fan visual novel, akin to something like Murder of Sonic The Hedgehog. It's being made by JPDE Studios, the people behind games like Babelomania.

The world's a merging of canon Sonic and IDW, and lots of passion is being put behind its creation. The creator's described it as Murder of Sonic The Hedgehog meets City Hunter.

Time to introduce the first of the ensemble cast which will take you on the adventure of a life time in GalaxiA! First up to bat is Nasira ibn Ayyub, Lieutenant of the Medical Service! Nasira is the very first character I ever created for GalaxiA, back when it was still a sea-faring swashbuckling fare...

She started as a pirate in the first version of the story. Then she became an investigator. Then a prosecutor... And now she's a MEDIC. IN SPACE! What a career! And she hasn't stopped achieving yet, as you will soon see...

Hello! For JPDE2, no, as the story is a direct continuation of JPDE1 so the protagonist is still David.

For GalaxiA, the game is a scifi saga told in an episodic manner (like old Star Trek) so instead of the one PoV person, there will be an ensemble cast of main characters! Among them, yes, there's women, LGBTQ+, non-binary characters, and even characters that do not reproduce sexually at all. :P

The setting is a galaxy in a completely different universe where intersystem travel is a daily occurrence, populated by hundreds of different species. Would be weird to only have straight cis humans running around, no?
