Crit Response
The designs were put in front of the group I’m in so I could hear their thoughts on the designs.
- They found the character idea of an action dentist to be interesting and worth exploring further, making its way to the characters to chose from to use on the project.
- They felt that the cut out design was futuristic looking, and reminded them of Tron, because of the lines and colours used.
- The sharper design of the character looked ’Aztec’
- They also mistook the character for being male, which means I might have to make parts of her face more feminine to make it a bit more obvious she is a woman.
I also feel like I might have misinterpreted the brief slightly. I think I probably should have done variants of the same design rather than remaking the same design in different mediums. I will make up for this by doing some quick variants of the design by using the elements I found successful from the medium experimentation.
