Hi!
Hi everyone, how is 2026 treating you so far?
This is my first time writing this kind of post, but I feel like this is the proper given the support I have received in the platform.
I had a very hard time in the middle of 2025. It was so difficult that at some point I thought to myself: "Ah. This is my limit." But I got back again. Eventually.
And here's what I realised about life then : it's indeed a marathon. One where everyone's start line and finish line is already set. But everyone's cutoff is different. The track is different. The arena is different. That's why it never makes sense to compare one life to another.
Because no matter how fast or slow you run, whether you sprint or walk or stop to catch your breath, you will still reach your finish line when it's time.
Knowing that, I decided: rather than running at full speed toward the end, I'm going to jog. Walk sometimes. Slow enough to actually look at what's around me.
Slow enough that when someone's track runs parallel to mine, I'll notice them and we can talk for a while. And if I'm lucky, our tracks might stay parallel for a long, long time.
Slow enough that when I pass someone on the verge of giving up their marathon, maybe I can run alongside them long enough for them to keep going.
That feels like enough of a reason to keep running :)
Warmest regards,
t.
