Some of these apps are used by practitioners and others are used by patients. I have used MyChart for years. Recently I went up to John Hopkins to get a second opinion on a problem I had for years. I had exhausted every top practitioner in my area and needed some fresh eyes. To my surprise, John Hopkins had started using MyChart recently and they were able to log into my records. The doctor reviewed my chart and found a report that was only available to the practitioners. He explained the narrative and we were able to narrow down a possible diagnosis.
