Why This Story?

I am not ashamed to admit I was in the mood for something a little apocalyptic and this hit the spot. While at first blush, this comes across as a horror story (it is inspired by the film “The Crazies”) of regular people dealing with an epidemic of murderous consequences. But it is so much more than that. In flashbacks, you get to see the evolution of a relationship, which is truly the heart of the tale. There is a lovely pacing and cadence to the language that just pulls you in and doesn’t let go. (no onscreen sex)
