TDD is dead?
A few weeks ago David Heinemeier Hansson publish an interesting/controversial post about Test Driven Development. In his opinion, TDD is dying, in his own words:
Enough. No more. My name is David, and I do not write software test-first. I refuse to apologize for that any more, much less hide it. I'm grateful for what TDD did to open my eyes to automated regression testing, but I've long since moved on from the design dogma.
This post brings much talking about this topic, and a Google+ event has been created, including a series of talks between David, Kent Beck and Martin Fowler (did someone miss uncle Bob there?).
In the first hangout, the central point was how much/many objects should be mocked when testing, mainly when doing unit testing. All of them express their opinion, and as expected the community reaction has arrived, and as expected the uncle Bob one.
Till this point, David has not convince me, TDD is still alive, lets wait for the upcoming hangouts. Meanwhile,
Happy testing!!!
