The nightmare's just begun ✘Open
With a light frown Vivian stared down at her hand; moved her fingers and frowned even more when she couldn't feel it. She knew she had swallowed far too much pills; painkillers and whatever the doctor had given her; but none of these said that she would lose her feelings. They were crap!
They were supposed to stop making her feel dizzy, stop the nausea, they were supposed to help her after what happened and not make it worse! She wasn't feeling her body anymore and the only thing that seemed to be left was her mind. But for how long? She could still feel the dizziness that has been following her since a few days now. She had been sure it was the way she had hit her head but the headache left with the pills. They just couldn't destroy something unnatural.
Dropping her hand down she looked up stared at her apartment door for a moment before she started to run to it. It wasn't the pills that caused the memory loss, the feeling of losing herself and neither was it the accident that made her feel dizzy. Shere Khan had said it himself: Madness. Kieran had said it: Darkness and Insanity. They would get to the people. She hadn't believed it then, but something wasn't right. And right in the second where she fell to the ground; passed out; it came to her head. The Ringmasters.
I feel it deep within. It's just beneath the skin. I must confess that I feel like a monster.
Hours later as soon as the sun disappeared again the closed eyes opened again but something was - yet again - wrong. These weren't Vivian's eyes. These eyes seemed to be empty and when the thing pushed herself up there wasn't a piece of Vivian left in it.Â
The Devil In Disguise was real and when it stepped outside of Vivian's apartment there barely was a difference to notice. And with a sly grin the monster started to walk, letting its fingernails scratch over the walls, letting an animalistic, dangerous sound resound in the darkness. Now.
Where was her first victim?
