The Sane Loony ✘ Open
A soundless gasp left Douglas's lips when he sat up in his bed. His breath went fast and a thin layer of sweat shined on his skin. It wasn't a nightmare that had woken him up, it wasn't the memory of the amount of doctors around him. It couldn't be. They weren't there anymore. Closing his eyes for a moment Douglas let a hand run through his messy hair and slowly shook his head. It was the dream. The dream of Kieran rescuing him and bringing him back to the circus. Something nice and still something that seemed completely wrong. Pushing himself up from the bed the young male walked out of the room and through the twins' apartment. He didn't look at it. He had noticed the slight change the day before when he first came back and so it just seemed more like this wasn't completely real. Without a key Douglas stepped outside into the fresh air; feeling the cold immediately on his bare chest. He ignored it, moved quietly through the circus instead. One hand always on a wall to hold himself. Even after sleeping a little he still felt weak and even though he hated to show it, he would rather have to support himself than fall to the ground. Holding onto the doorframe he still more stumbled into the tent than actually walked into it. His eyes moved up to the person who was standing in front of him now and even though they had stopped looking completely dead they still had a somewhat empty look in them. He blinked a few times to clear his sight and actually see the person in front of him, before he could do so though his legs gave in under him and only in the last second he was able to catch himself.
