First of all, your ask has been sitting in my inbox for two months straight and I’m so, so sorry for that!! Thank you for sending it in, even though I haven’t answered it in forever it is a very valid question;

TBV couple have been together since they were teenagers, they moved very quickly with their relationship because both of them were sure there was no one else for them. Throughout the whole story you can see him mentioning their vows, kind of even blaming MC for her actions because, in his mind, he would never do that. (Sidenote: there is a drabble coming for TBV from JK's perspective where he indulges in the thought/your question more, so keep your eye out for that!)

Uufff, the way I physically cringed imagining this 😬

If it was either of the first two scenarios, I’d say he’d be too perplexed to even say anything, just send her the deadliest glare and let the shift in his energy be self-explanatory. Like sort of a warning to MC to watch herself, but aside from that, he’d def start over-thinking every single detail. Like, has she spoken to him? Has he tried to reach out? Is she still thinking about him? Why did she dress up a day ago? Where did she go? And so on~

But if it was the third scenario - oh boy—

This would be awful in a ‘normal’ couple relationship, but for TBV couple? Oh my god, no thank you. Homeboy is struggling as it is, and this would come close to pushing him over the edge.

He would freak. And he wouldn’t be able to bite it down. Confronting one-on-one, rage filled, voice straining as to not yell. If in the previous scenarios he’d be overthinking her every movement, now he’d straight up ask evidence. ‘Show me your phone’, ‘where were you then and then’, and so on.

This would be an immense blow to his ego, think I explained it previously how he wouldn’t be the ‘extremely controlling’ or jealous boyfriend/husband (although he does pressurise MC to go along with his ideas/wants) but this scenario would bring out the worst in him.

The whole ‘yandere’ started because his wife left him and chose someone else over him - this is bringing that side of him back. Not trusting MC’s words, going as far as to bug her phone, even as far as stalking Tae on social media - watching what he’s doing, and what JK is ‘lacking’/trying to figure out why she chose him over her.

This would not be pretty one bit; yeah, would not want to be part of this conversation 🫠

I don’t plan on writing a pt.2, but drabbles - yes! (Even though I’ve been saying that for months, it is coming!)

I’m not sure whether the drabbles will be about their life after where TBV ended, but if you’re interested, I’ve answered some asks on the topic, here’s some of ‘em:

I don’t think people expect this, but their relationship afterwards isn’t that bad, their biggest problem is that they both suffered trauma, and don’t know how to deal with it/refuse help. At the end of the story I tried to highlight MC’s inner turmoil, where she blames herself for not being able to hate JK; realistically, they didn’t divorce because they were on bad terms, they divorced because MC lost all hope that he’d wake up. And when he woke up she was very confused, she realised she loves both JK and Tae, but ultimately chose Tae because he was her husband, and also - loyalty.

She would not forget what happened, but the fact that her ‘husband’ is still unwell, would make her go into worry mode for a while, and she wouldn’t ignore him when he is so visibly ill. But on the same topic, JK is a smart fellow, if he deems it necessary, he would use it to his own advantage. For example, if MC brings up a topic he wishes to ignore, he will press on her guilt, and manipulate her into dropping it.

MC would be the caretaker of JK till he gets better, BUT!, JK would grow out of it real quick. He mentioned that he was the one who always cared for MC, and as gentle as his character is, he would not like MC babying him around. He wants to forget about the past 7/8 years, and her worrying about his every movement reminds him of how much has changed. ->

I have a perfect scenario in mind - MC would want to change their apartment a bit (a change that in her mind is absolutely necessary), and JK would try to help out, for example, relocate a bookcase. Now, his body is not well to do so, muscles spraining and body trembling, but he would not back down till he does it; hiding his pain from MC, showcasing a version of himself, that’s long gone, but in his mind - still present, and what MC needs. A version of himself, with whom MC fell in love with. Honestly, sad.

But in short, MC wouldn’t be home bound, even before the accident MC and JK were very outgoing, and most (if not all) of their everyday life was spent together. So, as long as MC doesn’t give JK a reason, he doesn’t care, because either ways they’ll be together most of the time 🤷🏼‍♀️

No worries, I did mention it, but it was very subliminal, so it was easy to miss. She was a photographer, it was mentioned in the hospital scene:

“What the hell did I miss? A hairdresser? But what about photography, it’s your dream!”

You nibble on your lip, while trying to think of a way to calm him down, this much stress surely isn’t good for his body, “Photography doesn’t pay the bills. I couldn’t stay here, Kook. I moved out and this was my only option.”

She mainly worked for Jeon's company and took some jobs outside it as well. Imagine; she's photographing him in a courtroom for some ads/posters and whatnot, and their eyes meet - both start giggling and JK completely breaks his 'serious' character.

So, yeah, they aren’t on the worst terms, rather they’re trying to find the ‘new normal’. JK refuses to acknowledge past years, MC is (understandably) worried, both need therapy, but choose to act ‘tough’ for the other 🤷🏼‍♀️

Not to mention the (necessary but) awkward dinners with both families 😬 JK wouldn’t allow any slander towards MC, but there would be visible tension and awkward silences, topics they cannot discuss and silent judgment. It would be tough, but there’s still a connection between MC and JK, think it’s also unneeded to say that either ways, no matter how tough it is at first, JK is not letting her leave. Even more so MC is too guilty to leave him again, so it would take time, but I can see them having a fruitful future together. As long as there’s love, they will find a way ☺️

Uuu, glad you enjoyed TBV! The thing is, I haven’t yet decided what to write the drabbles on; for the longest time I planned to write it on their first years together/how they met, but I’ve been getting loads of different ideas as well, including when he woke up in the hospital

I hope you don’t mind, but just incase I do decide to write the drabble on what happened when he woke up, I’ll hold on to your questions 😗

But I can tell you that his family didn’t have to call MC, as she was the emergency contact in his documents! She was the first one notified, the whole procedure of him awakening happened because she gave the ‘yes’ for it.

Think I’ve said this before, but TBV was inspired by one episode of Greys Anatomy, where a man woke up after 17 years in coma because doctors missed what caused it - don’t remember the details precisely, but I used the same plot line for TBV, as I’m no doctor and wouldn’t have a clue how it worked 🥴

That’s also why JK managed to manipulate the doctors into falsely testifying for the divorce; in the hospital scene his mother (I think it was her) kept saying they’ll sue the doctors as they all missed why he’s in the coma, and ‘took her baby away from her’.

The only reason why JK’s fams called MC was because he asked! Understandably so, as all his family gathered hours before his ‘wife’ arrived.

First of all, I’m sorry for answering so late! A lot was going on in my life at the time, hope you can understand; even more so, this is a very interesting ask, so I wanted to give it the attention it deserved!

This story arc could’ve very well happened, at that point Tae and MC were married for a while, both reaching the age when one typically starts thinking about extending their family, and even on top of that - Tae is very family-oriented in TBV

If MC was pregnant, it would’ve put a lot of pressure on all of the characters;

MC would definitely push back on JK’s manipulation a lot more, I can’t see her willingly hiding the information from Tae, or if she was far along, I can’t see her shutting Tae out of the babies life. It’s hard to say she wouldn’t succumb under JK’s pressure either way, because the manipulation tactics he’s using against her are way over her head, and there’s honestly not a lot she’s able to do against them, aaand on top of that she’d feel even more guilty, because JK would be struggling to the max

Tae wouldn’t back down either, if his child is involved - he’s fighting through blood and tears, but then again we’re once more met with the question - what are they even able to do against JK’s manipulation? Not a lot. I still see MC ending up with JK, but there would be the additional problem of them seeing Tae all the time, which would cause JK to go completely delulu

I’ve talked a bit more about this in previous asks, but even without the baby, JK is acting as if the last years haven’t happened, as if everything’s back to normal and there was no ‘hiccup’ on the road. He would definitely convince himself the child is his, teaching them to call him ‘dad’, and knowing the power his family holds, the child is spending most of its time at their house, so they would consider JK as the father.

Knowing how ‘pushy’ Tae and MC would be, Tae is def hanging around, which would make JK’s insecurities and fears take ahold; he’d try to ruin Taes career and reputation, so he’d get the full custody of the child - doing everything in his power to minimalise Taes involvement to the point where he’s completely shut off. But that wouldn’t be easy as fights with MC would arise, unless he digs out some sort of information on Tae that would make him look awful in MC’s eyes - knowing him, that would be the card he plays out 🤷🏼‍♀️

In short - JK’s doing everything in his power to shut-off Tae and take his place

If I’m being honest, I don’t see TBV couple having a child in the near future; both of them are very lost of where they stand in life, and it’s not only JK who missed out on big portion of his twenties.

MC was tied to his bed in hospital as well, like, going in every day for yearssss. She didn’t get to enjoy her youth, even when she re-married, it wasn’t the carefree lifestyle one would enjoy at that age.

In one of the previous asks I explained how MC loved the lifestyle she and JK lived, whereas with Tae it was the opposite, a small village, farm - nothing new, basically every day on repeat.

Also have to remember she was married to Tae, and he’s very family oriented - if MC wanted to have children she would’ve had them with Tae. But honestly, I don’t think she’s ready for that

So, if JK has gotten back on his feet and they’re both able to experience what they both once lost - I’d say they enjoy it to the fullest 🤷🏼‍♀️

But if we were to look at the what-if scenario, I’d say it wouldn’t be MC that wants children, but the other way around;

JK is def looking around at what his friends are doing; I’d say that most of his friends already have children, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he thinks that’s the next step him and MC should take

And in that case scenario, MC would be the one against it. Their relationship is iffy as it is, add a child in the mix - that’s a disaster waiting to happen

If they are sensible, they’ll use this time to remember why they fell in love with each other, all the reasons they decided to marry so young, the little things that made them adore one another

Realistically if they had a child, little one would have the time of their life; I can imagine TBV JK teaching them surfing, running around the beach and travelling the world, because he would be a young dad with all the energy

But I don’t think MC’s and JK’s relationship would survive that. They’d have a lot more arguments, sleepless nights resulting in a easily agitated mood, child would also make them more home-bound.

Like, countless arguments that would result in MC loosing all love for JK. And he in return would become controlling, very much so ‘you do as I say’ husband

So, yeah, can’t imagine them having children in at least the next five years 🤷🏼‍♀️
