Tetris, a simple yet addicting puzzle game, was originally developed by Alexey Pajitnov in 1984, but the game was ported to Nintendo’s Game Boy in 1989. Although the game was originally released for various home computer systems in the 80′s, the Game Boy version is actually credited to have made the game famous. It was released alongside the launch of the Game Boy, and over 35 milllion copies of the game have sold since then. It has spawned tons of ports to just about every entertainment system since, and is possibly one of the most recognizable video games of all time. The Game Boy version featured a multiplayer mode, where using the Game Boy Game Cable Link, two players could face off against each other to reach the highest score.
