Pouting all the way home
'it's only eight hours!'
I gotta tell myself.
But five minutes with him
Not by my side,
Feels like an hour already.
It's fine tho, I'll wrap myself
In his blanket just to smell his scent--
It's almost like he's here.
I'll do some cleaning, talk on the phone,
Massage myself while thinking of him-- ooh!
But seriously, I should focus
On what else I need to do,
Even though I don't want to.
My baby is always on my mind,
The world don't feel right whenever he ain't there.
Too much fantasizing of the day
I walk down the aisle,
Taking his last name,
And oh the thought--
Only for him--
Of bringing a big headed child into the world.
I don't know how I got here,
Cuz I swear I was never this soft before,
I used to be the tomboy knocking
Niggas heads together,
Talking my shit and never about no wedding dresses!
Not raising a family and being a mom,
No!
But finding the one to bring it out of me,
Know how to lead,
And love me softly...
I ain't never thought I'd get here,
My friends surprised
I'm just ducked off under him.
Like "when you get all domesticated?"
Shiiiiiiid,
It happened real quick
And I didn't even realize it,
Til that smile never fell off my face.
Til his energy sang to me
And I matched it,
We fell right into place.
"Don't just come around and waste my time."
'Sir, that is not what I'm here for.'
