Umm... So...
So I'm as big a fan of Taylor Swift's music as any other, but am I the only one to wonder if the current deluxe editions of Lover are nothing more than a cynical cash and sales figures grab?
Now I bought both special editions for Reputation and given their contents, I think they were well worth the money. But with minimal content differentiation between four versions this time and the fact that Taylor knows a large portion of her fans will buy all four (and in fact she encourages it, have you seen her Twitter feed), it seems to me this is just a low effort way to acquire more of her fans money and to game chart ratings.
Are we surprised this album is 2019's highest selling album in the USA when fans are buying for copies instead of one?
I know I'm probably going to get hate about this (hence the new blog) but I feel that this had to be addressed before the next album has 8 deluxe editions at $50 each with one page different in a booklet somewhere.
Comments @taylorswift or @taylornation?
