My idea of how Patrick Fitzgerald might look as his unshelled form, with his color scheme based on his suit in the Gumball comics. Shapeshifting fairy grumpster.

His design was rather simplistic, but it almost makes things harder that way; especially figuring out how to even do a in style fairy like Penny and her family. I finally figured it out to the best of my ability, making sure that Patrick remained fairly recognizably the same as his daughter, but still giving him the body type he has in show. His freckled arms remained because they just really belonged on him, and help differentiate him from just another Penny form. I also made his wings specifically shaped like his moose antlers, as a bonus. I didn’t include the freckles on his body, since those were on his shell, and not his arms.

I imagine Patrick remained in his shell for longer than anyone else in his family, even his wife coming out before him. He didn’t want to come out. But he.. kind of didn’t have a choice,  in the end. Patrick emerged from his shell on the day that Gumball and Penny officially announced that Penny was pregnant. At which point, his shapeshifting powers reacted with his emotions, and he shattered his shell when he turned into a dragon. He and Penny had a very heated argument in dragon form while Gumball tried his best to not get in between the two dragons, considering how flammable he is. But eventually, he accepted it. Mostly because Penny is a bigger and meaner dragon than he is.
