This was actually from yesterday but I didn’t have the energy to do the writeup. Maybe I should have done Tatzyl last, but oh well. Also I bet I have made a million typos .-. sorry!
Tatzylsnatch Dossier:
Habitat: Drawn to areas of dark and wild magic. Typically deep jungles but also often dungeons and other such places.
Danger rating: Extreme
Size relative to human: Larger (8-10 ft)
The largest subspecies Tatzylsnatch are apex predators that traditionally live in deep jungles. These unusual monsters are fortunately rare, even in their native habitat. A single creature commands and defends vast territories and they usually live alone with a pack of smaller subservient monsters called tatzyltickles. They passively absorb dark magics to enhance their abilities and actively seek out places with high dark mana density to make their dens.
They are easily identifiable by their hulking size, orange striped dark fur and chalky red claws.
Tatzylsnatch hunt all manner of prey, they are strong and quick, their quad of fore-claws capable of making a meal out of most opponents - but the real danger lies in their venomous bite which can quickly incapacitate even the fiercest of foes. Their hide is incredibly tough, practically immune to unenchanted blades and they are adept climbers and swimmers. Their largest weakness is their hyperactive, energetic demeanor and susceptibility to being distracted.
Tatzylsnatch are playful and mischievous, seldom malicious and they tend to prefer to feast upon non-sentient creatures. Most of their encounters with other monstergirls involve a playful wrestle or some other manner of teasing.
It is generally known that those that feel the wrath of the Tatzylsnatch face a fate worse than death. The cause of this dire omen is a second specialized venom the Tatzylsnatch can inject into its victims. Contamination results in a disturbing transformation, similar to that seen in lycanthropy, into a smaller subservient species called a tatzyltickle. Tatzyltickles lack the venomous properties of their alpha and are more susceptible to mundane weapons but otherwise match the tatzylsntach in all but size with most tatzyltickles being under 6ft tall.
This secondary venom’s efficacy varies from species to species, but humans are particularly susceptible and for this reason a Tatylsnatch will never pass up the opportunity to expand their brood by letting a human pass them by unaccosted. Once turned, a tatzyltickle is unlikely to ever return to humanity. Fortunately the transformation can be halted, and even reversed through consumption of rare crystal peaches.
You don’t need dark magic get in on the fluffy times Anon, just go wondering in dangerous places, it’ll be great. W-well.... these questions are kind of hard to answer, but you’re right in that they are not really too brainy when it comes to their brood. Like most monsters, though they possess human or close to human level intelligence their minds are different in as many ways as they are similar and they probably wouldn’t come up with traditional schemes or battle plans, much like they wouldn’t think, or want to use a sword. Their hierarchy and behavior is in some ways more like a wolf pack, or pride of big cats with the tatzylsnatch as the alpha. They are cunning, and Tatzyl tickles often act as scouts and sentries that seek out and then lure, or drive prey toward the tatzylsnatch.
As for the other stuff....
The transformation is one way, and permanent.
It depends on the persons physical constitution - those with weak bodies succumb to the poison faster.
For most people it takes between one and two weeks and progresses gradually over that time. Consuming a peach will stop the transformation, but any features gained will remain unless more peaches are consumed in which case they gradually recede. Once fully transformed the peaches can no longer save the victim. While this does give the afflicted some time, peaches are rare and only found in the deep caves beneath the earth. The tatzyltickle transformation is not restricted to the body and victims experience mental changes as well, becoming more animalistic and dominated by their collection of new instincts and urges. In the presence of their tatzylsnatch tatzyltickles become almost entirely obedient and subservient, when alone or away they can be more rebellious - but most are not, for several reasons. Part of the mental changes include a shift in sense of self, and most tatzyltickles do not seek to revert to their old lives after they have adjusted, but exceptions when people have a strong sense of self, or deeply important relationships in their old lives do occur. Tatzyltickles share the tatzylsnatch’s enjoyment of wrestling, fluffy cuddling and general wild play, and tatzylsnatchs usually treat their tickles well - provided they don’t get too full of themselves. Once every month, when the phase of the moon matches that of their original encounter with the monster, a tatzyltickle feels a powerful compulsion to seek out the tatzylsnatch. This persists for a few days and leads to physical pain and feverous symptoms if ignored. Crystal peaches can suppress this effect, and the tatzylsnatch’s dominating aura for a short while. It is rumored that if a tatzyltickle can defeat the tatzylsnatch that transformed them, they can return to their human form, or become a full tatzylsnatch themselves but this has never been documented.
