The egg rocks gently in the nest, the material crunching under it's immense weight. It rocks again, slow but purposeful. It creaks from the inside, under the weight of the hatchling within, pushing insistently against the walls.
The upper part gives suddenly, and a head attached to a long neck pulls free of the initial hole. The rest of the body is soon to follow.
The hatchling blinks, slowly looking around in the bright, fresh new light. It sees you, and inclines its head forwards.
The hatchling has imprinted on you.

What a beautiful baby girl! I'm sure those branches on her head will blossom into something stunning when she's older. Congratulations on your new baby!
