Tasuku sighed and scratched the back of his head, “And you swear it’s only helping with his computer? Utsuki doesn’t have something up his sleeve or something?”

Tsumugi threw a look over his shoulder at Tasuku.

Sighing again, Tasuku crossed his arms over his chest, “Well, it’s fine if it’s only about his computer.”

“See, but I think you guys should still talk.” Tsumugi turned back to his plant to water it. “It’s the perfect opportunity.”

“Talking seems like a high feat for someone like Chigasaki.”

“Yeah, and it’s a high feat for you too, what’s your point?”

“Fine. Honesty is a tall order from him.”

Turning away from his desk, Tsumugi crossed the room to get to watering the other plants littered about their room, “You’re not giving Itaru-kun enough credit. He’s honest when he needs to be. Are you sure you’re not just trying to come up with excuses not to tell him how you feel?”

Tasuku didn’t respond at that.

Chikage chuckled, “Sure. If having a boyfriend counts as a cheat chara skill.”

“Bragging about a boyfriend now, huh. I have half a mind to kick you outta my party.” Itaru flicked on the turn signal as he waited for the chance to exit the garage. Rush hour, just perfect.

“I’m assuming you mean the car.”

“Hey, that’s a good idea actually.” Itaru replied.

Chikage full on laughed this time. “Well, I’ll make sure to tell Tsumugi that he’s the reason you made me walk home from work.”

Itaru resisted the urge to roll his eyes and finally turned onto the street, “Honestly, he’d probably think you deserved it. Which, you do.”

A long drawn out silence started then, but it wasn’t uncomfortable so Itaru didn’t mind all that much. His finger started tapping on the steering wheel to a KniRoun soundtrack song that started replaying in his head today as most of the drive was silent until Chikage spoke up again.

“Ah, by the way, about those new parts you’re installing into your computer.” Chikage’s eyes flicked to him briefly as if to see if Itaru was listening to him. “Tsumugi and I are actually heading somewhere that day, so Tasuku will be helping you out.”

Itaru hummed in acknowledgment.

“It won’t take terribly long for either of you anyway.”

“Probably not.”

“Well... good luck.”

Itaru’s eye twitched but he clicked his tongue and took a deep breath, very aware that Chikage wasn’t wishing him luck on the build.
