Taste Orange bring a piece of the Country to the City
Wine Festivals are all the rage, every weekend in suburbs all over Australia wine enthusiasts flock to Food and Wine Festivals. And whilst they are a great way to while away an afternoon and taste some delightful wares from the country they are, all to often, very alike, been to one wine festival, then you've been to a fair few of them.
This doesn't stop me going though. Last week I trekked into Martin Place to visit the Taste Orange Pop up Wine Festival and Bar. I have always been a huge Taste Orange fan, as an organisation they are innovative, and refreshing. Their events are always well thought out, inspiring and a real reflection of Orange. I've never been to a Taste Orange event without wanting to quite literally taste Orange and head into the countryside.
Their event at Martin Place was no exception, a great portrayal of Orange, a beautiful scene was set in Martin Place, the staging was fantastic. I unfortunately had babysitting restrictions and couldn't hang around for the 5pm Pop Up Wine Bar, I got my Taste Orange experience during the lunchtime tasting sessions. Next year I will be more organised and stay for the evening, I hear it was great.
