This is a real, unedited pose. I call it the hug trick. It works on Pokémon Scarlet/Violet and Legends Arceus.

To do this in Scarlet/Violet, find a part in the game where you are left standing next to a character. The Blueberry Academy League Room and the Team Star bases work best. Get as close to them as possible, then save and close the game. Reopen the game, and you should be able to walk through the character. Do this slowly, otherwise you'll have to start over. Get to where you want your OC to be with the NPC, and open the camera into selfie mode, and angle it how you want, or take an in-game photo if you don't want a selfie point of view. The NPC does continuously turn towards yoi, though. Play with the various poses. It's fun. Note, the taller the person, the more difficult the selfie version of the trick will be, but good luck!

In Legends Arceus, you just have to keep going towards the NPC until the game just gives up and lets you walk through them. 😅 This mainly works with Adaman, when he's standing at Lake Valor, so I'm sure this can also be accomplished with Irida in the Pearl Clan Settlement. This does Not work with Melli, so probably also anyone guarding the Frenzied Lord battlefields, either. Also, obviously Legends Arceus doesn't have selfie options, so you'll have to take an in-game screenshot.
