Brief start of the last Sylvan
Memories. Some are priceless, some other eat you from inside.
I started my life as my past selfs did by stepping into water with experience and memorable life, and coming out clueless and with first breath as my fresh new start.
I shall explain but first you have to understand one thing: My queen is blind.
She doesn't see but instead she feels and sees her own way. Our creator, creature called Nari, made her and first six guardians of the most sacred thing in our world. Trees.
I suppose that their purpose doesn't have to be explained as you probably know. For me I was meant to be taught their purpose for about a 14th time.
This time, I shall see the beginning of new, much colder era. In future it's gonna be called ice age...... Not entirely the best name in my opinion but I don't blame you. You haven't seen it yourself.
Well I keep talking too much.
Instead, I shall tell you how our reincarnation works:
Sylvans have six states of life:
And then the 'ending': Ancestors
You see..... We don't happen to be created with a gift or need to reproduce like other creatures do. In modern stating, some might call us Asexuals.
Not completely wrong but not correct as well.
And in all honesty, it's no bother. (Or in my present days I once regretted but that's much far from where we are now)
My past self, thirteenth Sylvan Taradax, had reached the age of being ancestor.
Our queen Freya feels everything that happens to us. When we're hurt, when we age up and of course, when it is our time to start again.
Meaning of our lives is to protect our home, trees, and if we want then some of the animals and magical creatures.
Now, how about I show you instead? It's my reborn day after all.
Every start starts with cracking sounds. It is our old shell cracking for us to break through and free ourselves to join the big light. That part is easy.
As all I see is dark, green and cold floating place, I can also see my kind breaking through shells of our old bodies and trying to get to the light. That's where it gets more complicated.
Unable to quite reach the bottom or the surface, some of us get stuck in the middle, helplessly trying to make some useful move.
At this part, that's where guardians come. Unlike us yet, they are tall, massive and walk through the muddy bottom like through sand. Huge strange hands wrap around our backs and we are each pulled closer where the water and the land depart.
Without their help, some of us would never take the first breath. And without them, our teachers and queen wouldn't meet us, again.
Queen Freya, willow Sylvan, welcomed us each by reminding us our names and what kind of trees we are connected the most.
Then my teacher who used to be my student, Delamere the Acacia, greets me and helps me do my very first steps by supporting my light weight.
They walk us high so we can absorb the sunlight and the strength. We are young so we don't have any leafs on our bodies yet. But when I get older, I will be Ash Sylvan.
