A book about a shapeshifter whos been in the form of an animal for all their life, who one day shape-shifts into a human and gets stuck in the form (bcuz they dont know how to turn back). So now this shapeshifter has to find a way to return to the form thats always been themself (animal form), meeting others who feel like theyre not themselves along the way. Shapeshifter MC helps these others find themselves and learns new lessons along the way, and in the end they accept that this human form is a part of themself. Of which causes them to finally be able to return to their critter form.
but its just a massive metaphor for transgenderism, therianthropy and like a couple of other stuff depending on the character
(like therianthropy for the MC, and trans other characters, maybe even have a character with OSDD or DID?)
